Guess who we spotted walking downtown in New Orleans early Saturday morning? Hint: He formed a new record label last year.
It’s musician/singer-songwriter Raphael Saadiq! He is in town for the Essence Music Festival.
In 2008 Saadiq formed a new label called Velma Records, a place where Raphael promises “people can express themselves like I did with The Way I See It… where they can dream something up and just go with it”.
