Hey I’m from Barbados and the reason why we are getting so much exposure is mainly due to Rihanna making it and getting so big so fast. Bajans also got a cool accent which is easily understood by USA and UK. Most of the other Caribbean islands accent is so thick that even here its hard to understand. Eg, Guyana, st.Lucian, etc. Jamaica is known for Dancehall.
RubyTech is next up. He’s a rapper and a very talented 1 in my opinion. Google him and see for yourself!

What is wrong with Bajan artists coming up in the biz? If you don’t like the song just say so… The Caribbean has never been truly tapped for its artists and true there may be others with talent from various territories but the simple reality is that connections need to be established to get anywhere in the world.
Jaicko isn’t trying to be anyone but himself and has been working toward this for years…give him a chance if you care (before it was Jaicko, he was simply J-co, it wasn’t intended to an MJ prototype). Livvi is another who has definite potential and NO she is not trying to be like Rihanna.
The negativity in these forums is sometimes depressing. Instead of degrading a person or country for that matter, try working on your own dreams/ aspirations.
