Just as her debut on the second season of Bravo’s hit TV series, The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Kandi is no fool. She drops some new material featuring fellow Atlanta native, rapper Rasheeda and hip hop heavyweight, Rick Ross.
Kandi, formerly of Xscape, is a Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter, and while in addition to being one of the Atlanta Housewives, is also working on her sophomore solo album, a follow-up to 2000′s Hey Kandi. Expect to her Kandi’s new single, “Trade Him In,” featuring Gucci Mane soon.
I didn’t like the song at all. The lyrics were horrible and so was the production. And isn’t she a little to old to be singing something like this? Anyways, I can clearly see why she’s on the show. She hasn’t had an album in 9 years, and the show would be a great way for her to promote her new album.

I like the song! Im glad to see her coming back, I always liked her.
The pic is really nice. Didn’t listen to the track (scared of download viruses). I am not sure about her and the ATL Housewives. Kandi is very smart to look to the future in regards to her $ and not wasting it on bling, bling. But I thought the show was suppose to be about over the top wives/women who do splurge on the bling, bling.
woow! to my suprise this song is a BANGER! i just dont think she has much of a voice tho or maybe its just different…idk. the subject of the song tho is a NO NO for kandi! she like 40, she need to give this song to ciara or somebody…and hop on some mjb topics!
Probably would sound better if Tiffany Evans or somebody her age sang it. Music today isn’t what it used to be in the 90s, 80s, and before. Everything’s so lame and lacks substance and staying power. It’s a hit today and forgotten tomorrow.
I like the song and I love KANDI!
But yeah, this song would be better suited for Monica, Keyshia or Latoya Luckett.
Kandi still sounds good though. And i betcha she the only Housewife who owns her home outright and aint paying rent or a mortgage. So she’s the head housewife in my book. I still miss Deshawn
