After signing with Ford Models last month, Kanye West’s girlfriend, Amber Rose is taking the first steps to her new modeling career – test shots.
Confessions of a Casting Director posted two test shots of Rose’s that were taken at Ford this week. But I must ask, is she just another pretty face or is she model material? A lot of people are saying she won’t go any further than some spreads with urban clothing lines, what’s your take?
Someone said she needs to lose weight, for what? she is absolutely stunning just the way she is. That girl might look thick on pics, she’s probaly no bigger than a 3/4. She would make a beautiful stripper. I saw a girl in the mall other day with the same hairstyle and face and shape, thought it was her.
All those people hating on her are just jealous they cannot get a modeling contract.

i’m sure she’s not on their high fashion board. she’s too short and doesn’t have the right body type. her body is awesome but not for runway. she’s probably on their “celebrity” board so she’ll do special appearances, and endorsements possibly.

I watch America’s Next Top Model and last season a girl was 25 and they said she was old in “model years.” To be 25 in the modeling industry is like being 40. I don’t think she can do high fashion either, she’s not a big girl but too big to be a high fashion model. I can definitely see her doing more urban things – not high fashion runway or high fashion ads.

Over a year later and she hasn’t done ISH with Ford. Only think i’ve seen her is on club flyers, magazine spreads, and things that deal with Kanye. Kate moss is an exception height wise (ppl kept bringing that up since Amber is barely 5’7) and Eva Longria “models” because she is a celebrity (its like how Beyonce, Drew Berrymore, Queen Latifah, Vanessa Hudgens, Michael Jordan, Kobe, Lebron, etc endorse products because of their celebrity status. they aren’t “models” per-say, but endorsees and can get booked for “modeling” jobs).
I guess maybe they though Ambers “status” could get booked for endorsement modeling deals as well, but she is truly a nobody other than a horny mans fantasy, or a hood rats “fashionista”. And not many products’ main focus is to market to that demographic.
