This video is horrible and the way colored women were represented was very disgraceful. The whole song seems like a joke to me now. Making a women THINK she’s the best, but your really telling others the same thing. Might be true for most men but not what everyone was expecting at all (in a totally bad way). “Take that D!”…c’mon Drake? He has absolutely no swag. I like his music but it almost seems like he had to study other artists to be able to sound a certain way. Drake my advice to you would be:
*Re-do the video quick by an actual talented well known director
*Watch the company you keep

I personally love the video, some people still want the typical champagne bottle poppin, same video plot, same video direction type mess, well…I don’t I like unique things , not “typical” same on mess. Drake style is not that orginal though, he sounds too much like a combination of Kanye West, Lil wayne and Jay-z…..

Even if he doesn’t see it this way, I think the girls in the video represent him and his fame. He’s all flash, all hype, and claiming to be the “next big thing,” but then when his audience were expecting him to pull off something “great” he fails tremendously and falls flat on his face.

It’s funny that people defending the concept of this music video, are saying that there’s a bigger and deeper picture to all of this…a metaphor, esp. since it’s Kanye we’re dealing with. When in actuality if you read his interview, his concept for the video are COMPLETELY OFF BASE! He really supports the player mentality, and I’m not surprised by his concept anyway considering that I didn’t think he had that much of an intellect to begin with to pull something so deep, and even if he did the whole message was overpowered by what was portrayed in the video. He picked the wrong fan base to mess with, because they’ve finally discovered his player ways.

If a man can conjure something as abstract as a musical note and actually depict it, he has no problem creating a double-minded and double-meaning video.
