Kanye’s songs and videos are always very compelling and interesting, if for no other reason than to find the subliminal messages and metaphorical imagery that he uses. In addition to that the man never forgets to attempt to belittle or diminish the Most High in some way, lol & smh. He has a serious beef with the Lord, one that he will lose. Common is a disappointment. I can see why the white man is giving him so many roles in Hollywood….the nigga has been acting in his music and playing a role in the hip hop field for years. I can also see why Taraji Henson said what she said about him. He’s so busy trying to make sure that he flashes his masonic hand gestures that the dude can barely get his mouth in synch with the lyrics, lol.

Don’t like the Poke Her Face meaning in the song, but the beat is hot and Kanye has a witty verse. I think Kid Cudi will reveal himself more when the album drops, but I agree he’s got to step it up a tad.
Additionally, I like Common but it seems with his last album he has been trying so hard to convince the masses that he’s not always a conscious rapper, and he can talk about sex, and money with the best of them. We get It nigga.

Im scared to get Kudi’s album because he make cool songs like Poke Her Face and then dump some depressing stuff on you like Day and Night. His dark songs are really dark and I don’t want to feel that type of vibe at all. LOL.
I love this song though and the video was cool. He stayed within budget and gave us some creativity too.

I like the melody and I think the lyrics make sense with the title of the song BUT listening to it doesn’t really move me because it’s not an interesting subject. I think I was mesmerized by the video (which was well-done) and the music in the background. I did hear the rappers, but rappers arent’ saying anything new

She said something along the lines that the man, Common, was not what he “projected himself to be”….which I found to be very cryptically put. Many of these black women in Hollywood end up with white men or lesboed out because they find out that all these so-called “eligible bachelor black men” in Hollywood are h*mosexuals (even though the white men are g@y as well). That is what these black men have to be in order to get those roles. Common is supposed to be playing in this new “Justice League” movie, which will be big budget and expected to bring in big returns. He was also in the latest “Terminator” film. What has he done to deserve limelight like that? The argument cannot even be made that he is a box office draw because of album sales, because his albums have never sold. Nor is he a good actor. A great rapper, yes, but a bad actor. Black men only get speaking roles in Hollywood blockbusters when they’ve had their block busted, lol, i.e. Marlon Wayans in “G.I. Joe”. Then on top of that, the nigga is linked to the hip with the black h0m0 rap messiah, Kanye West.

Any female on here praising a song that is telling a dude to “poke” your face is a dumb broad and just took women back 50 years. They’re telling you that your a blow up doll who deserves to be poked. Visually, like Angel said the video is cute but the song is degrading. All hip hop is doing now is replacing the big booty poppin hoes with subliminal raunchy lyrics which have more of an affect.
