NEWS BIT: KELIS GIVES BIRTH TO BABY BOY
It’s a boy for Kelis and Nas! The 29-year-old R&B singer gave birth to son Knight Jones around 9 p.m. Wednesday evening in New York City. The baby boy weighed in at 7 lbs., 8 oz.
According to her rep, Kelis delivered naturally with her mother and sister by her side after about 31 hours of labor. “The beautiful baby boy and his mother are doing wonderful,” she shares. TMZ is also reporting that Nas was indeed there for the birth, even though rumors are indicting that he wasn’t.
Kelis and Nas had been married for more than four years when they announced their separation in April. Citing irreconcilable differences in her divorce papers, Kelis seeks spousal support and child support in addition to seeking the joint legal and physical custody of their not-yet-born son.
Knight is the first child for Kelis and the second for Nas, who has a 15-year-old daughter, Destiny, from a previous relationship.

An even bigger congrats to Kelis for having the baby the natural way. Too many of these female celebs are wimps, and too chickened to go through a natural child birth, so they go runnin off to C-Sections.
Child birth was intended to be natural, unless recommended by a doctor to have a C-Section, women should have their children naturally.

Also just to clarify-
They do not distribute any Golden Biscuit Awards for Valor in the labor and delivery unit. Childbirth can be an extremely painful…no, make that agonizing experience. So if a woman feels she is going to need some assistance with that pain, then so be and hats off to her. There will be time enough to prove your mettle as a mom by just trying to keep your son off the streets or your daughter off somebody’s pole.
Boy Kelis is looking rough in these last set of pregnancy pics and I always liked her for her edginess experimenting with her look but pregnancy doesnt have to equal rummage sale *smh lol Was really hoping that Kelis and Nas would make it and not end up in divorce court but even though they’re going their separate ways I hope they can put aside their differences for the Knight’s sake (such a cute name) Congratulations to them both on the birth of their new baby boy. What does a woman have to prove by going natural? You’re having a baby…what’s more natural than that? You’re no less of a woman if you decide to get an epidural or have a c-section. You’re not punking out by getting pain medicine. No one really cares if you do or not. Once the baby is born no one cares about you any more anyway lol. I say do whatever you have to do to make it as easy as possible on yourself. Being a parent is the hard part.
I think every woman should “Push” (lol) atleast once, unless your doctor advises otherwise… That’s the way it was created for us to give birth in the 1st place.
