Its My Time
Monday, July 6, 2009 /
Michael was my first introduction to music. My mother and father were huge fans of Michael so I was listening to his music in the womb. My love for music and dance starts and ends with him. My mother always says, “Thriller use to scare the pants of your little a$$ but you would still watch it and do the moves around the house.” He is the real American Idol! In fact he’s a Global Idol. I feel blessed to have lived during his time and to experience his greatness and musical genius. Watching his videos and listening to his music makes me realize that today’s industry is void of true talent. There are some exceptions however even the exceptions are not on same creative level as Michael. The media keeps pointing out his flaws and his controversies. I ignore them and focus on his talent. I don’t belive nor do I care about any of the negative things said. This man has literally set the standards of what a performer should be. He is the epitome of a true artist. He will be missed greatly. I feel like my childhood died on 6/25/09. Michael I love you for giving me the one thing in life that helps me find solace…MUSIC. R.I.P and know that your true fans will never let your desire to Heal The World fade. We are starting with the Man and the Mirror and for you, we will make that change.
Deepest sympathies to family, friends, and fans! We truly lost the G.O.A.T. (greatest of all time)

I wish I could be there but a sista got to work. Besides, Im all the way in New York. Fortunately, I’ll be able to watch it while Im working. Im sure this will be really nice.
Im going to be an uncontrollable, unconsoleable mess tommorrow, I can just feel it.

Michael eventhough the media did a number on me mentally there was a voice inside of me that told me then and today. You did not do it. Only white people thought you did. You always had the support of the black community. I just found my record of you and the Jackson 5. I will be watching your memorial service on TV. I did my schedule so I would have the day off.
I feel you watching over me and that is comforting. Know that I think of you daily. I am about to cry. I always knew that in your passing it was going to be BIG. Andh why not you are KING/LEGEND/ICON.

Justin Timberlake will not be in attendance. I hope that more young singers/rappers show up, because MJJ was the one that made it possible for them to have videos on MTV, and inspire them to become famous.
I really hope that MJJ legacy will be that of love and love of ART. Because he was an artist and that should be remembered. And like Jaime Foxx said, MJJ was ahead of his time. He was the first one to talk about baby mamas. lol. In Billy Jean. And now almost 30 years later, rappers and r&B singers talk about baby mamas.
I just want to say that MJJ was a man. And it’s really sad how the media not his fans or stable fans, pigeonhold him into a Peter Pan persona. The media criticize him for Neverland Ranch. Well, didn’t they realize that he brought NRanch when he was 28 years old. At that age, you still are a big kid, he couldn’t go to an amusement park, so why not build a theme park? When you are young and making MJJ money, wouldn’t you have all the things you wanted and could afford?

Why is Beyonce going to be there, I guess for show, because oh I forgot she and her family are upper class, she went to private school, her father owned a Jaguar and they are not to be mistaken for the Jackson’s who’s parents got them started to get them out of a bad situation as she stated in an Elle magazine interview in December of 2008, no wonder Janet was upset, but it’s not about her, I just don’t like hypocrites.
This is for the fans that loved MJ, the king of popas I did, this is my tribute to
MJ, hope you enjoy, can you guess how many songs there is?
Michael, I Remember The Time you said I’ll Be There and told the Tabloid
Junkie to Leave You Alone because they are Dangerous but that’s Human
Nature, you said They Really Don’t Care About Us, they treated you like a
Smooth Criminal, and yes you’re BAD, working Day and Night putting out some
mega hits like ,Billy Jean,Thriller,Dirty Diana, We Are the World as you
looked at the Man In The Mirror in Black and White, but I Wanna be Startin
Somethin, I Can’t Help It, Just Can’t Stop Loving You for You Are My Life,
I’ve Got To Be There, You Are Not Alone, You Rock My World but although You
are Gone To Soon, there’s a Jam session in heaven and others like James
Brown, Aaliyah, Left Eye,Isaac Hayes, Gerald Levert, Luther Vandross, Barry
White, Tupac and Biggie are going Off The Wall but I will Rock With You and
your memories forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!LOVE YOU MICHAEL

I’ve watched the video of Michael rehearsing for what was to be his final tour. In the video he seemed on point as ever. Some said he was’nt dancing as hard as he usually does, but there’s a difference when you’re actually performing in front of screaming adoring fans.
I’m just so regretful, that he is no longer with us, and was’nt able to give us all a “Thriller” performance again, but his beautiful music, spectacular performances, loving and caring spirit will forever remain with us.
So Michael, this is the final curtain call, though you are no longer with us in body, no one can ever erase the happy, beautiful and exciting moments you gave to us all, that, will be ingrained in our hearts and minds forever.
Love and miss you Michael Jackson, King of Pop

Seeing pictures of young Michael breaks my heart, he was too young to know what he was getting into. I hope things go well on his day, before it all breaks loose again.
On a positive note; he did have great times. I can’t imagine what it was like to be him and achieve what he did.

Michael Jackson is the greatest entertainer to ever live. I don’t want to hear a damn thing about Elvis. Elvis isn’t even worthy to drink the p!ss from Michael’s bed pan. If folks act grown up, they would admit that Elvis was artificially inflated to superstardom because he was white.

I agree, the whole tickets and wristbands thing is weird. And “JENNIFER HUDSON, ANDRE CROUCH, ALICIA KEYS SLATED TO PERFORM.”
What is this, the continuation of the BET Awards?
Don’t get me wrong, MJ definitely needs his just due, but they are literally making this into a circus (hence the elephants in attendance). Well, maybe the animals aren’t a stretch; but you are right, it seems like the media, and whoever else, is trying to capitalize off of this man’s death, and I think it’s shameful.
Nevertheless, hopefully, and I doubt this, the media calms down on all this coverage of him afterwards, because 99% of what they are talking about is unnecessary.
Just please let this man rest in peace, and let his family (his children especially) grieve over the lost of him.
