OMG everything!!! I got tickets to the memorial service for tomorrow and I’m super excited and I’m also sadden by the event. When I got the email from staples confirming my voucher the realiztion that Micheal Jackson was gone, hit me like a tone of bricks. I really can’t wait to see A keys though…she’s the best!
yea queen bey!
rest peacefully mike. love you.
@ Blah Blah Blah
I don’t think it’s the media selling tickets. They are free. It is greedy individuals on ebay selling tickets. Disgraceful they are.
Anyway, I’ll forever cherish the tiny glimpse I got of MJ outside the World Music Awards. Love you MJ!!!!
****hope everyone is dressed accordingly******
@27
They’re not selling the tickets. Unless you were lucky to have your name drawn from the lottery and you sell them yourself.
wish i could be there to pay my respects and be in the mix of every one there…RIP Michael Jackson!!!!!!!!!!! much love
@ pink sorbet
its exciting to see how much of an impact he made on the world that all this is being done..
where im from we dont mourn death..we celebrate life..which is what will be happening here in LA tomorrow
Ill be watching this for sure tomorrow when it airs on either nbc or abc. man its gonna be some major star power there. and like jahpanther said, a 2009 remake of we are the world would be incredible. I could see proceeds go to MJs favorite charities and such.
Michael was my first introduction to music. My mother and father were huge fans of Michael so I was listening to his music in the womb. My love for music and dance starts and ends with him. My mother always says, “Thriller use to scare the pants of your little a$$ but you would still watch it and do the moves around the house.” He is the real American Idol! In fact he’s a Global Idol. I feel blessed to have lived during his time and to experience his greatness and musical genius. Watching his videos and listening to his music makes me realize that today’s industry is void of true talent. There are some exceptions however even the exceptions are not on same creative level as Michael. The media keeps pointing out his flaws and his controversies. I ignore them and focus on his talent. I don’t belive nor do I care about any of the negative things said. This man has literally set the standards of what a performer should be. He is the epitome of a true artist. He will be missed greatly. I feel like my childhood died on 6/25/09. Michael I love you for giving me the one thing in life that helps me find solace…MUSIC. R.I.P and know that your true fans will never let your desire to Heal The World fade. We are starting with the Man and the Mirror and for you, we will make that change.
Deepest sympathies to family, friends, and fans! We truly lost the G.O.A.T. (greatest of all time)
thanks for the clarity terminator.
I wish I can go..
I’ll be tuned in tomorrow afternoon.
R.I.P. MJ
I swear I miss this man something terrible. I cant even listen to certain songs of his without getting emotional. I kinda feel bad for my husband. He’s having a real hard time trying to cheer me up. He dont even realize he’s making it worse.
I wish I could be there but a sista got to work. Besides, Im all the way in New York. Fortunately, I’ll be able to watch it while Im working. Im sure this will be really nice.
Im going to be an uncontrollable, unconsoleable mess tommorrow, I can just feel it.
SMH@ me not gettin picked to go..so saddened by this, i’ll probably never get over it..so so sad. RIP Michael, Miss your kind and gentle spirit.
Are the Jacksons gonna b there or are they doing a private service? Joe Jackson does not need to speak ever again, why was he speaking on the family’s behalf anyway? Of allllllll people????
People are so fake, when he was alive he was a pedophile weird but now he is dead everyone wants to be all on his dick.
and, why are you excited about going to the Memorial Service? A person died tragically and people are happy about the funeral.
Michael eventhough the media did a number on me mentally there was a voice inside of me that told me then and today. You did not do it. Only white people thought you did. You always had the support of the black community. I just found my record of you and the Jackson 5. I will be watching your memorial service on TV. I did my schedule so I would have the day off.
I feel you watching over me and that is comforting. Know that I think of you daily. I am about to cry. I always knew that in your passing it was going to be BIG. Andh why not you are KING/LEGEND/ICON.
Man I miss you.
One of the baddest dudes to ever hit the stage
R.I.P. Mike
@ # 17 JanPanther- They will be singing “We are the world”(smile).
I hope this isn’t going to be a mess tomorrow, with crowd control and all. I’m setting my DVR though.
Michael,
You and your music will live in my heart and soul forever.
I love you and I miss you more than words can say.
Rest in Peace.
Tomorrow will be a sad day, if not the sadest days in music history. I will be watching with my tissues near by.
OMG I DON’T EVEN KNOW IF I CAN HANDLE WATCHING THIS TOMORROW. SO SO SAD. UGH I’M GOING TO BE A MESS…
@ VIVIDLY.ARTISTIC
DID THEY GIVE A REASON WHY YOU DIDN’T GET PICKED? JUST CURIOUS. I NEVER LIKED THAT WHOLE LOTTERY IDEA TO DETERMINE WHO GOES.
yes #2! the King of MUSIC, not just pop.
i love him!
R.I.P. Michael
too bad i won’t be there tomorrow… i cried when i got three rejection emails from the STAPLES Center.
this is DEF. gonna be one of the most memorable events of 2009 <3
damn, i think michael might break history again because this funeral might just be big as a funeral for a pope or a president ! (just sayinn)
Justin Timberlake will not be in attendance. I hope that more young singers/rappers show up, because MJJ was the one that made it possible for them to have videos on MTV, and inspire them to become famous.
I really hope that MJJ legacy will be that of love and love of ART. Because he was an artist and that should be remembered. And like Jaime Foxx said, MJJ was ahead of his time. He was the first one to talk about baby mamas. lol. In Billy Jean. And now almost 30 years later, rappers and r&B singers talk about baby mamas.
I just want to say that MJJ was a man. And it’s really sad how the media not his fans or stable fans, pigeonhold him into a Peter Pan persona. The media criticize him for Neverland Ranch. Well, didn’t they realize that he brought NRanch when he was 28 years old. At that age, you still are a big kid, he couldn’t go to an amusement park, so why not build a theme park? When you are young and making MJJ money, wouldn’t you have all the things you wanted and could afford?
i am 19 and mickael was the reason i started singing. i am recording the events as well as watch as much as i can b4 i work that afternoon. i am going to be a complete INCONSOLABLE HOT MESS!! I’m still devistated with the news of his passing. i still hope he’s faking……but then again i don’t because that would be very cruel of him….. Long Live The King of Music!!!
RIP MICHEAL . TOMMORO WILL BE A SAD DAY INDEED. GO TO THIS LINK EVERYBODY TO SEE THE BEST MICHEAL JACKSON TRIBUTE YET http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6mQYxNycJRw&feature=related
Why is Beyonce going to be there, I guess for show, because oh I forgot she and her family are upper class, she went to private school, her father owned a Jaguar and they are not to be mistaken for the Jackson’s who’s parents got them started to get them out of a bad situation as she stated in an Elle magazine interview in December of 2008, no wonder Janet was upset, but it’s not about her, I just don’t like hypocrites.
This is for the fans that loved MJ, the king of popas I did, this is my tribute to
MJ, hope you enjoy, can you guess how many songs there is?
Michael, I Remember The Time you said I’ll Be There and told the Tabloid
Junkie to Leave You Alone because they are Dangerous but that’s Human
Nature, you said They Really Don’t Care About Us, they treated you like a
Smooth Criminal, and yes you’re BAD, working Day and Night putting out some
mega hits like ,Billy Jean,Thriller,Dirty Diana, We Are the World as you
looked at the Man In The Mirror in Black and White, but I Wanna be Startin
Somethin, I Can’t Help It, Just Can’t Stop Loving You for You Are My Life,
I’ve Got To Be There, You Are Not Alone, You Rock My World but although You
are Gone To Soon, there’s a Jam session in heaven and others like James
Brown, Aaliyah, Left Eye,Isaac Hayes, Gerald Levert, Luther Vandross, Barry
White, Tupac and Biggie are going Off The Wall but I will Rock With You and
your memories forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!LOVE YOU MICHAEL
Best Regards,
@beverly this is not about beyonce. she will be there because the family respects her and she respects them. if ur not to fast to forget but joe jackson was sitting beside her at the bet awards. dont look down on beyonce because she was blessed as a child. and how are u to call beyonce a hipocrit when u just sat up there and said it aint about her yet her name was the first name in your FIRST sentence. pitiful
Beverly you better tell them ! Don’t worry one day it will be her turn to be in pain and people to laugh at her or point finger at her family
Bev, is it my bev? any way that was beautiful people better realise there will never be another like Michael Jackson i repeat never!!!!
I KNOW HI’S IN HEAVEN WITH HIS BEAUTIFUL FACE AND BROWN SELF SMILING.
