It’s a boy for Kelis and Nas! The 29-year-old R&B singer gave birth to son Knight Jones around 9 p.m. Wednesday evening in New York City. The baby boy weighed in at 7 lbs., 8 oz.
According to her rep, Kelis delivered naturally with her mother and sister by her side after about 31 hours of labor. “The beautiful baby boy and his mother are doing wonderful,” she shares. TMZ is also reporting that Nas was indeed there for the birth, even though rumors are indicting that he wasn’t.
Kelis and Nas had been married for more than four years when they announced their separation in April. Citing irreconcilable differences in her divorce papers, Kelis seeks spousal support and child support in addition to seeking the joint legal and physical custody of their not-yet-born son.
Knight is the first child for Kelis and the second for Nas, who has a 15-year-old daughter, Destiny, from a previous relationship.

The film is based on Tyler Perry’s 2005 stage play and brings back his famed character Madea. It also centers around April (played by Henson) and her struggles of life, including that of caring for her niece and nephews. April meets Sandino (played by Rodriguez) who helps to change her prospective of life and goes on from there. I Can Do Bad All By Myself hits theaters September 11th, 2009.
Although she has been disappointed about the leaks, a “new” Teyana Taylor track has leaked titled, “Color Me Pink,” which was from the initial version of her currently unreleased debut album, From A Planet Called Harlem.
Teyana, now 18, recorded the track when she was 16 years old with producer, Hit Boy and the writing team known as The Clutch. She expressed via Twitter that the reason her album has been delayed was because of all the leaks, and that she was planning to rerecord this track for the album.
