It’s been a minute, but this week’s Show Stopper is Alicia Keys at the 2009 BET Awards. While most of the ladies did it up very flashy, or fleshly, Alicia kept it soft, simple and stunning wearing this green sequined Jenny Packham dress.
Alicia glowed on the red carpet and on stage when she received BET’s 2009 Humanitarian Award winner for her work in the charity she co-founded, Keep A Child Alive. Keys’ appearance on the BET Awards Show Sunday night also reportedly raised more than $130,000 from more than 26,000 mobile donors who texted their donations. Now that’s a real show stopper…

Swiss Beat is a grown man. Alicia is a grown woman. Nothing has been proven and even if so, the marriage was doomed from the outset.

I LOVE Alicia! She is such a great artist and seems to be a lovely individual as well. She or her management team have not stated that any of the Swizz beats allegations are true..so i dont believe the sh*t. Her dress is beatufiul and the shoes go just right. You need a nude shoe, like the one they picked…it’s a great look!

I liked the look she wore during the actual show more than this. Still, she did look good that night.
As for her humanitarianism, I give her applause for that. Everyone should help others out, if they can. And really, if it wasn’t for her, nobody would know anything about that organization or would be paying too much attention to the decades-long pandemic that’s going on in Africa.
And as for the Swizz situation, yes, it was tacky how they got together, but they are together now; and they obviously want to be. So, just let sleeping dogs lie.
Also as someone else stated, if there was serious wrongdoing on the parts of Swizz and Alicia, then they will be dealt with accordingly—the rest of you all shouldn’t worry about it.

I’m glad Alicia Keys got some coverage for her job well done as a (real) artists, a young lady, and a community, and world activist. She is gorgeous, but does not act like that’s all she has to offer. I wish there were more artists that could be role models like her and Beyonce.

No hating here cuz I LOVE LOVE LOVE A Keys but her legs look like they took it from a big person and pasted it on to her. She is still beautiful and LOVE the work she does, LOVE the ways she speaks and presents herself but I think this is a bad pic if those really are her legs. Nothing wrong with having a lil weigt on you but the legs dont look in shape. Still giving her her props for being so beautiful and using her fame for something positive unlike many other celebrities.
And sorry but have to disagree with #70. Yes A Keys is a role model but Beyonce? Are you serious? Role model for what? Showing girls how to shake their a$$es and dress skimpy to get attention? A keys uses her talent to get a fan base and promote herself which is much more respectable.

Alicia lost a lot with people when she made that move to Swizz because Mashonda’s been very vocal about it. Say what you want, but she had hopes of them working it out and getting back together whereas it’s no dice now.
