But I don’t understand why those who dislike an artist post in a discussion about that person, especially if you feel she is a waste. The same applies to those who dislike Chris Brown and other artists. If you can’t stand them musically or personally, then why waste your time promoting their names everywhere they’re being discussed? It doesn’t make any sense. There are some artists I dislike musically, which is why I do not talk about them.

I think the reason rihanna has outsold the listed artist, is not only because she is somewhat talented (can’t take SOME credit away from where its due) , but Ciara,Ashanti,Amerie,Christina Millian, etc, is because she doesn’t fight against what her publicist, agents, and record label tell her to do. The artist that you mentioned have even stated that the record label wanted one thing, but for them, it wasn’t the direction that , that artist wanted to go. (I’ve heard Christina Millian say that in an interview, her old record label, ISLAND DEF JAM, didn’t support her ideas, so she cussed them out and went her own direction.) Or the artist felt if they did everything the record label wanted, they would feel like a robot/sellout. (remember Amerie’s last album? that was all Amerie and it got “not so hot reviews, I thought that album was great it was different! ) But, Riri does make some hits , but it seems she’s a “YES MAN” to whatever “her people ” tell her to do . Her music has always been more of bubblegum pop, and then it ventured into pop/r&b, and then into whatever else you want to call the rest of her genre. Whatever they tell her to do, she does it, no matter how it will make her look because of the $$ and the attention. She hasn’t really shown her own PERSONAL music style that says this is me and what I stand for. Her albums seem to be all over the place. I used to be a riri fan , but i’m beginning to think that she’s a bit of a sellout. You have to admit that half of her last album was bad. “question existing, push up on it, ?? ” come on.. Rihanna took creative control of this Album, more than anyxother album from her…she was born in Barbados(which im sure you know) and wasn’t exposed to people like Madonna, or rock music often.

of course when you are as young as she was when she first came out(17) you don’t have much voice, but one thing is for sure once she was exposed 2 that, it inspired her…we all go through transitions in life.

I’m the same way, im a fashion design & marketing student, and i have had many diffrent looks through the last 3years of my life…the more i was exposed 2 different styles, the more i took risks with my own personal style. its all about growing gradually…

she is only 21, making changes in the public scrutinizing eye, lets give her the benefit of the doubt.
