Check out this new track from Kevin Cossom, who we have recently featured in our Hot or Not and Artist Spotlight section. The song “House” was produced by Hit Boy for Surf Club, who are credited as being Polow Da Don’s proteges. I have been impressed with the majority of Kevin’s material. I think his pen game is strong and the production that he has is always immaculate. I think he’s in a winning position. They just need to push him right.
Tank – I Need (full) – listen
Tank, who is frequently recording, be it demos for other artists or material for himself, is back in the studio. Apparently, he’s working on a new album, and this new midtempo track, “I Need,” is produced by the duo Tim & Bob, who are probably most famous for Bobby Valentino’s “Slow Down.” The new album, tentatively titled Sex Love & Pain II: The All Night Experience, is set for release early next year.
Bobby Valentino – Rewind (full) – listen
Bobby Valentino, who has recently released his last studio album, Rebirth, is already back in the studio, recording new material. This track, just like the Tank track above, is also produced by Tim & Bob, with whom Bobby Valentino has recorded a lot of material. Honestly, I’m not as impressed with this song as I am with Tank’s. And that probably has more to do with the fact that I appreciate him more as a writer and vocalist. No word on when Bobby’s new project on his new label will be out.
Pretty Ricky – Good Stuff (full) – listen
Although their first single, “Tipsy In Dis Club” was overshadowed by the scandal of Spectular juking on YouTube in his underwear, the group is still trying to promote their self-titled third studio album, Pretty Ricky. This is track is just a hook, so of course it’s unfinished. I’m not sure what the progress is on their project, but it looks as though they are trying hard to keep themselves afloat.
