Hal Linton - She’s Dangerous (Bang Bang)
Meet Hal Linton. A native of Barbados, Hal was born into a family of classically trained musicians. Discovered by Evan Rogers and Carl Sturken of SRP, the hit-making team that helped propel Rihanna to superstardom, Hal won four awards at the Barbados Music Awards in 2007, including “Song of the Year” for his single, “Cardiac Arrest”.
Now based in New York, the 24-year-old is prepping his debut album, Return from the Future, which is due to be released later this year on Universal / Motown.
Check Hal out on BET’s Rising Icons & be sure to show him some love on MySpace.

Its a nice song, but how is he already gonna be on BET Rising Icons and he just came out? I predict he’ll be “linked” to Rihanna within a month of so just for publicity.

BAJAN INVASION.
hal linton is really talented. BET knew what they were talking about when they made him a rising icon. his music is way better than the other rising icons called keri, the dream etc. HAL LINTON writes, produce, sings, arranges his own music.
i see some haters already. THIS SONG IS HOT.

Nice sound! Good music is here people. We don’t have to subject ourselves to “Ice Cream Paint Jobs” or “5 Star B*itch” when fresh music is here.
Keep it up Hal… and keep the hate coming!!

I’m not feeling the Bajan invasion.
I won’t even deny not just being hater.
This is Jamaican territory. Only we should be allowed to have more than one artist on the rise at the same time lol. One small (from the lesser Antilles) islander at a time please. The next Bajan artist should be introduced when Rihanna finally crashes and burns.
Ok, I’m done with my jealous rant.

That’s how record labels role. As soon as something from somewhere seems to work…everyone runs there to collect a piece of their own.
Remember when Cici came out, how many ATL chicks got signed and dropped after a song?
It’s been like that since the birth of Hip hop, goes all the way to Monica, Brandy and Aaliyah…..something works, there comes the bandwaggon.
All good still.

Wow @ you morons really being pissed that new talent is getting shine regardless of his origin… self-destructive as ever…
I like the song and I did seem him on Rising Icon though something else was distracting me. I’ll keep a serious eye out for him now.
ALL talent (especially of color) needs to recognised and praised (especially by people in the same demographic).

I was skeptical when I read that he’s produced by Rihanna’s peeps. Talent not necessary. But the song is very nice. I’d bump it.
Not a good pic tho. He looks like a cross between Trey Songz and Jermaine Jackson. Not a good look.

I thought Lil Wayne had chopped his locks off for a minute.
Song is ok. Maxwell and D’Angelo did this already in the late 90’s, but nice production. Ok voice. Nice look. He’ll just have to be 2x’s more original with the next single to stand out.
