Those shoes do not go with that dress, honey. With that said, she still looks good after all these years. Those muscles in her arm in the first pic ain’t no joke. I need to start toning my arms up.

I used to love her when I was a little girl. I like the shoes, just not w/the dress. She still looks good, though.

i have a son who is autistic. they’re varying degrees. from rainman to nasa engineers. the best advice i can give anyone is early intervention. it can change your child’s quality of life. also, to any mom who inside thinks something is wrong..seek help! please ignore family members who say things like ‘that child/baby’s just fine!’ The sooner you get help the more strides your child can make. As children get older it is much harder to intervene. The most significant changes are made between age 1 and 3.

My ten year old son was diagnosed back in 2002, and has made great strides! He is in a regular classroom and gets special education (I.E.P.) and therapies in school and outside of school. Like #7 said EARLY INTERVENTION is the key. A lot of times people will try say oh it’s nothing(having autism) well it is something but it doesn’t have to be the end of the world! There will always be challenges for a child with autism. However the challenges aren’t that hard when you get the help they need. I’m glad to see Dominique lending her celebrity to the cause-God bless her and thanks Concrete loop for this post!

IS IT JUST ME OR DOES IT SEEM LIKE AUTISM IS ON THE RISE IN BLACK CHILDREN? OR MAYBE THEY JUST WEREN’T BEING DIAGNOSED CORRECTLY BEFORE? IDK..

Ms. Dawes!! I so admired her growing up! I wonder how old she is? U know how when growing up, u used think these young ladies were the same age (or in the same age bracket) as you ( “Rudy”, “Vanessa”, “Denise”, Dominique Dawes, Xscape, etc…..) and then u find out that they’re mid 30s and ur just 25 or so? LOl, I know, thinking too much into it, huhn
Well, she was such and inspiration to genres less traveled by Black America
Still stunning, Ms. Dawes
