No one knows what really happened to end their marriage but it is true that Kelis will have to share in supporting the baby with Nas (joint custody) and her alimony is temporary 2.5 years or less and the reason Nas has to pay is because Kelis is truly broke and CA law states that alimony is granted to help the spouse in need to gain some financial stability. As far as the support being 44k that will be determined on 9/8! im not blaming nas i dont know their situation and the details which lead to their breakup im just saying alot of families go through this type of thing as soon as the baby comes things go downhill and the dude rolls out leaving the female to get by on her own I didnt say anything about NAS i was just implying how alot of females are hating on her for getting that large amount of money in child support but if you were in that situation you would most likely try to get as much as you can from dude
