I knew it was her, and by the way i just saw doubt like 2 weeks ago and Viola was only in the movie for like 6 minutes.. What exatly was she nominated for? I’m not hating but 6 minutes? she was only in one scene for 6 minutes and she got nominated? Help

clearly they nominated Viola for the depth of emotion brought to the role

DOubt, the movie, is based on a Broadway play of the same name. The role of the black mother, equally short on stage, was also nominated for a Tony for the stage actress that brought forth such raw emotion night after night for SIX MINUTES as you say….

@ #2 It’s not about how many minutes they were in a movie but if they left a strong impression. No she didn’t have a huge part but just goes to show she captured the Academy’s attention for her small role. Plus she was nominated for best supporting actress NOT Best leading actress.

Good for her. I am glad that she is finally breaking through Hollywood. She has had a number of small roles on TV and film (remember, she played the mother in “Antwon Fisher”) and is a really talented actress. She is quite a force and can really bring the emotion on screen.

And that poster speaking about “hard features”.. wow! I can’t even address that.. She is a beautiful woman.. she needs to tell us what her skin regimen is.. just glowing.. and she has a great figure.

The movie is based on the book of the same name. I have not read it but know that there has been a lot of hoopla surrounding it..

Not only is Viola a phenomenal actress, she also does a great job of representing the “black woman” in Hollywood. I have seen her interviewed many times and each time she made me proud. As for her looks, they do tend to work her on the harder side of pretty, but she cleans up well. You should see some of her promo shots. Great smile, great skin.
