It’s singer/dancer Mya (new promo pics posted)! It was announced this week that she will be on the upcoming season of ABC’s hit show, Dancing With The Stars. The new season starts in September.
The 29 year-old is also working on her 6th studio album and it’s expected to be released indentently on her own label. She recently inked a deal with J. Prince’s Young Empire Music Group and will release a mixtape called Beauty & The Streets Vol.1 due this fall.

I honestly had no clue, so I didn’t bother to guess lol. She was adorable. I hope she can have successful comeback this time. There’s also nothing wrong with her being a trained dancer on DWTS because other people have been contestants on the show with dancing backgrounds like Mario, Lance Bass, Mel B, one of the Cheetah Girls, Mario Lopez, etc. It really doesn’t who wins the show anyway because it is really just a promo tool all that matters is you make the best of the opportunity and use it as a career boost like Mario Lopez, Mel B, Marie Osmond and few others that was on the show were able to do. It’s also funny when I see people clowning other artists but let it be their fave they’d have a natural fit. Anywho good luck to Ms. Mya.

I SMH because this woman should be in the top with the likes of Beyonce and Rihanna, but she fell off somewhere after that 3rd album and has had a hard time ever since reclaiming the spotlight (prolly that dumb deal with Motown). I hope DWTS boosts her. Mya Harrison studied dance back in the DMV with my sister, and she was good. I know y’all memba when she used to be one of the dancers on Teen Summit back in the day LOL.
