More and more material is leaking from Amerie’s, fourth studio album, In Love & War, which will also be her debut album on Def Jam.
The latest material to leak is “Heard ‘Em All,” which is slated to be Amerie’s second single, produced by Eric Hudson and written by Sean Garrett. Amerie’s new album is set to hit stores September 8th.
@43 Britney Spears has been in the music bis since she was 15. Since 1998, almost just as long as Beyonce and she still is putting out number 1 hit albums, singles and tours. Justin Timberlake has been doing it just as long as Beyonce and he’s still making hits not just for himself but others. Usher has been doing it longer than Beyonce and although Here I Stand wasn’t as big of a success as Confession, it still was successful. Alicia Keys has been doing music since she was 16 and she is still succseful. Christina Aguilera is still around , Pink is still around, and they both started in the bis around the same time and age Beyonce did.
This should have been the first single. This is how you make a comeback.

Rich Harrison who produced 1 Thing and all of her records worked with Beyonce on BDay and gave Beyonce Amerie’s song all the way. This is in no way, shape or form like something of Beyonce’s…and I’m a big ‘B’ fan. I love Amerie just as much & this is just a new style for her as far as the sound of the track goes. Also, the runs & riffs that she sings (HaaaHoooHeyyy) she started doing that style of vibrato early in the game and then Beyonce started doing it when she worked with Amerie’s close-knit producer Rich Harrison. By the way, Sean Garrett wrote the track & he also wrote “Diva” so don’t be surprised with the lyrical content sounding similar. I said all of this to say that if promoted right and a iconic video, this could be BIG. There should be some type of new dancing in it, high energy & sexual. This is a good look for her LOVE it!

Finally something worth listening to! Damn, I was getting so mad at her for putting out garbage. I finally started feelin the “Why R U” track but I knew it wasn’t strong enough to be a success. It sounds like this track is Hindi/African inspiried. I think it’s aiight right now, but I don’t know, I may love it later on. She really needs to take this route but lay of the repativeness in her songs because it sounds like she’s trying too hard to sell a single like many artists are able to do with wack catchy, repeative, meaningless songs. This song is on the right track, but might need a remix to become even stronger. I love Amerie, always have, and I hope she can come back stronger than ever!
