♫ Queen Latifah feat. Mary J. Blige – People

Queen Latifah took a break for her two jazz albums, but her new album, Persona, marks Queen’s return to hip hop since 2003. After her new single, “Cue the Rain” (which originally was titled “Chainz”), Queen has some new material to leak.

The latest track is the Mary J. Blige-featured, “People.” The new album, Persona, is set to release August 25th and will have cameos from Busta Rhymes, Marsha Ambrosius, Jadakiss, and remix of her second single, featuring Lil’ Kim and Missy Elliott.

  12. truthfullyspeaking

The song does have a nice message and is positive, I will give her that but I’m just not feeling it. This song sounds like it’s something from the early 00′s. I think that Latifa is one of those rappers gone actors that are more successful and better at acting in movies. She cracks me up in the movies she stars in.

  13. Philly

    She’s Backkkkkk! Love it!

  14. dopest_chick

    It’s aight

  15. Denver Knight

PEOPLE like Tiara are so negative. No one asked about numbers or an artist selling. The only question that was asked was if the song was hot or not… NEGATIVE PEOPLE ARE STILL… JUST PEOPLE! CASE IN POINT QUEEN!

  16. Mayne

  18. toohotfortv

Wow, I really do like this. What’s even more alarming to me is that I’m actually feeling Queen’s verses more than Mary’s hook.

  19. DOPENESS

Nice track. I love the positivity. Now im curious to hear more from her album.

  20. too damn bad...

    This is Hot!!

  30. JUDAH

The real question is when is this l*sbian going to come out of the closet? Not Queen Latifah, she can’t even fit in the closet. I’m talking about Blige. The white man has used her for years to make songs that make the black woman feel inadequate and distrustful of every black man. I see that she has the other two members of her old school dyke crew, Lil Kim and Missy Elliot, on the album as well. I wonder if they’re going to do a “Ladies Night II”, for the carpetmuncher crowd?

  31. Pretty as a...

so much respect for her and MJB, perfect match on this track!

  32. Carrie

    @ Judah.

But atleast give them credit for a song that pays homage to God and serves to embetter people. That’s rarely seen these days from artists. To what do you attribute this dissonance (to the system)?

  33. Carrie

    or **from the system** rather

  34. blackxxx

    JUDAH

    truth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  35. reginatlc4lyfe

Love it!!! Cant wait for the album. So happy we r getting back to real music.

  36. Mutada al sader the king

Is it me or did Queen spit some of the dopest verses since Flava Unit ? That shit was nice. Nice to hear Marry with little to no pitch correction

  37. Lanice

    This song is the truth.

  38. IT IS WHAT IT IS

    WOW…TWO QUEENS ON ONE TRACK…

man Latifah flowing like she did on “Just another day”….thats whats up….

I mean its Mary J and Queen…you cant go wrong…

and for those who didnt feel it…thats fine…

but for those who had something negative to say…

    its all good…youre just “people”

at the end of the day it dont matter….

    real music is coming back…..

    Finally….

    Peace

  39. bria

They remind me when women had a voice in rap. They were strong, beautiful, and educated. And would not allowed themselves to be used or represented in a terrible and whorish way.

  40. 1*STEP*AHEAD

OK USUALLY I JUST IGNORE JUDAH..BUT THAT SH!T WAS FUNNY! LMAO!

  41. Mo

man I love it, and I totally relate to it

  42. ♥♥PEACHEZZZ♥♥

THEY BOTH LOOK GREAT IN THOSE PICS AND I’M DEFINITELY FEELING THIS SONG.

  43. anonymous
