Letoya actually did really good in this movie. Probably the only destiny child member that can act. And her voice was something serious in this movie. I really wished it came out to theaters but we get what we can.

It doesn’t look THAT bad but it doesn’t look THAT good either. They gave away the entire movie in the trailer tho: girl sings in choir, leave to live her life as a singer, meets handsome guy and falls in love, he turns out to be a monster and beats her, she then realizes that her daddy was right and comes back home–the end. Looks more like a straight to dvd movie. But good for Toya.

I’m worried about Letoya’s acting lol. Overall, I think it might be okay. Tank is fine as hell, why does he have to be the bad guy though

Usually, I don’t post on blogs but since this is regarding LeToya, I felt incline to do so. You have so many artist out there right now that are adding versatility to their craft and LeToya is just one of the many. I do believe I read somewhere that this is the remake of the Prodigal Son but I have to say that LeToya did a good job with this being the first film she is starring in. The reason why you don’t have other actors playing this role (i.e. Nia Long) is because this is more of a musical so this would not really fit actors who can not contribute musically. The music industry is very political because some artist are OVERSHADOWING underrated artist that know how to create quality music rather than quantity (i.e. Tamia). Who are we to criticize the hardwork LeToya is putting into perfecting a craft that she is passionate about (rather musically or acting). She is TRULY following her dream and instead of criticizing her, we should be CONGRATULATING her on her accomplishments.

The movie looks very inspirational and can probably teach people somethings if we can stop being so judgmental and learn to open our eyes and minds.
