Platinum selling Capitol Records recording artist LeToya Luckett will be starring in the new movie, The Preacher’s Kid. The movie will be released on October 30th. Peep the trailer above.
LeToya, who will be releasing her upcoming album ‘LADY LOVE’ on August 25th, will be joining Radio One’s Russ Parr Morning Show Bus Tour, with stops in the midwest and Parr’s home market, Washington, DC.

The girl can act…modern day Prodigal Son type movie…looks decent.
What are u people talking about, this Movie will be in THEATERS on October 30th (I believe that’s the date) and YES THAT IS LeToya singing.. Y’all are RETARDED, I swear!!!! LeToya is not CASSIE, she can sing but with her Live Performances with the Debut Album she I guess had stage fright being that she wasn’t used to being on stage by herself. LeToya has improved vocally, and people need to stop hating and give credit where it’s due.. Damn!!! Also, this being her first real acting job she seems to have done a very well. Wait until she starts getting more roles, like with her singing you will see her get better. That girl is a hard worker, and she’s made a believer out of me because I wasn’t a big fan of her singing before and even though she can still get better I now BELIEVE!!! So I will be getting her Album on August 25th!!!
Tank is so damn fine…can’t wait to see this movie….I’m not a LeToya fan but homegirl looks like she can actually act….and kiki sheard is my girl!!
uhm, this one doesnt look all THAT great. looks like its kinda filled with classic cliches. however, letoya looks like she can act wayyyy better than beyonce. beyonce is way too rehearsed for me. she can never step outside of that little innocent box shes livin in.. she didnt even sound right when she cussed in cadillac records.. letoya’s got a great voice btw.. i think i’ll watch the movie.
Okay I just understood the entire synopsis of the movie and saw the climax and ending-so what’s the point of going to see it? A bit of advice, next time leave some suspense to the trailer.
to those who think this film is a Tyler Pery clone: did you not peep the play within the movie? Old boy with the wig and gun and shuck and jive? This is film is not mimicking TP. It’s MOCKING him! And for that, I’ll be there! lol
wow ppl i can never understand the Mankind lol why does it have to be a subject of comparison b/w her and beyawnce? still bey has been on acting game longer tho but Toya ain’t bad either maybe they should all just leave acting to real actors/ actresses u know the likes of Will, gabriel union, Nia long, cameron diaz … that makes it easy on us. i’ll prolly wait for this on dvd
