Damn, a whole bunch of nobodies/has beens are being posted today. First Mya now Marques Houston. Still trying…
Some of the same folks talkin about MH is wack, are blasting “Birthday Sex” out of their speakers: FAIL. The “Naked” album was damn swell, but he needs some different artistic direction cuz this theme is getting old; sex, bodies, love, and more sex and bodies. The themes of the videos only match the songs so of course they’re redundant: MH in a nice car driving. MH with shades in a nice house, pretty girl, MH dance break. Who’s money is getting wasted on this?
I completely lost respect for MH after peeping his twitter page where he begs for followers and endlessly posts pics of his finacee for the month, and discusses his bathroom activities. He’s alright as an artist though, I’ve seen worse.
Angel I thought that we weren’t going to post on Marques Houston anymore, after he tried to play concrete-loop on twitter!! He’s such a lame to me!

The Twitter convo was from earlier today. Basically CL asked if Marques was “relevant” & he ended up basically apologizing…saying he wasnt trying to talk about CL… just wanted them to post a current song…etc etc & they kissed & made up. lol

I’m not sure who shot the videos but in “Body” y the weird shots of him doing Happy Feet dances? and in “Date” (my fav) y the random shot of the vases and paintings?
But I like both songs, I think the R&B crooners coming back.
Some Folks are just negative as ever.. If its not autotune and cursing.. Then the song sucks.. Im sure he’s payin for the videos out his pocket.. He’s on a independent label.. This is the reason that the real artist are slipping away.. People’s standards are lower for good music.. Radio station is filled with GARBAGE.. ALL DAY LONG..
These songs are HOTT.. Also.. someone mention that its not 2000 or 2001 anymore..

As for everyone on here hating Marques and other young folks out here. You really need to start using your iTunes better. There are alot of great r&b artists out there,who aren’t talking about sex this and that……Musiq, Dwele, Maxwell, Raheem, Ledisi, Emily King…..
What’s happened, is that we’ve been force fed Rhianna, Beyonce, Keysia, not to mention the other craptastic wonders of Cassie….And Beyonce is the best out of that group. Put a pretty face on it, get the best producer of the moment, and saturate the market. The Record Business is NOT about putting out a quality product because they don’t want to invest. It takes too much time to make everyone huge. So just get 1 or 2 (Mariah, Mary) and then go for the quick buck with everyone else.
As for MH, my one piece of advice – putting your girlfriend in the video is equal to getting her name tatted on you it’ll kill your relationship. If ya’ll still together.
Anyway, that’s my rant.
