REST IN PEACE TO DJ AM
Adam Goldstein, better known as DJ AM was found dead on Friday August 28, in his New York apartment. Details have not been released as of yet but many reports indicate that drug paraphernalia was found near the body. He was 36 years old.
DJ AM was in the news recently after he and friend/collaborator Travis Barker survived a plane crash in South Carolina that took the life of 4 people.
On Tuesday, August 25, Goldstein wrote on his Twitter account:
“New york, new york. Big city of dreams, but everything in new york aint always what it seems…”
According to E!, Goldstein recently filmed a series for MTV where he speaks on his addiction issues.

I just read this as well…that’s so sad to hear…I really liked DJ AM…I hope he rests in peace. I really hope it wasn’t a drug overdose…but that’s what it’s looking like at this point.

This is soooo sad. I pray that his family and close friends (includes travis barker and nicole richie) get through this alright. This year has been good (obama and me graduating) but at the same time, it seems like the bad is out weighing the good! This is a hard year! I’m glad to have lives during the same time as ted kennedy who was a great man and to have been able to see michael jackson on tv in his good years but its just a shame to hear that they have passed. It just hurts really bad and I didn’t even know these ppl personally! But that just goes to show how big of a impact they are on everyone. Rest in peace to all of our fallen of this year! This is extremely painful.

If he did overdose, it is very unfortunate that he was given a chance at life and he just blew it. Maybe he was meant to go early after all. i hope he did not take his life because that is always the easy way out.
TMZ said his g-friend dumped him. He was upset about that and had post traumatic stress from the plane crash. So sad, therapy may have helped. Can’t depend on others to save you. Condolences.
I dont think we should judge him if he did overdose. We dont know what kind of pain he was in. He might have felt guilt or felt haunted by the fact that he survived the plane crash while four of his friends didnt.
god gave him this life and gave him a second chance so yes I can be upset if he took his own life or wasted it away… I know it was rough on him after that plane crash but thats not the way to go out at all drugs or suicide is a no-no in any religion

This is so sad! He survived a plane crash that killed 4 of his friends. He also excaped death in the Buffalo plane crash that killed 50 people, he decided to drive than take that plane, just think, if he would have taken that plane he would have died. I know he must have thought about that, and also felt guilt from surviving the other plane crash adn also today the move Final Destination is out! so creepy! RIP!

he was doing drugs way before his car crash. it was going to meet up with him. but i guess depression is a mother….
poor thing couldnt pay for therapy rather than a bag of coke and presc. pills.
so sad he couldnt hold on just one more minute. thank goodness his friend knew to call the cops when they didnt hear from him which seems like his friend knew of his depression, drug use, and his suicidal thoughts which not hearing from him and dj am not answering caused an alarm within his friend enough to call the police.
I bet he overdosed on the same drugs he was using to recover from the crash
