The image thing — to go so extreme, from dancehall reggae queen girl to cool, punky, rocker-chick. People say Rihanna bit your style.
I mean, for sure I question that, but who wouldn’t. She is supposedly a fan of mine. I try to take it as a compliment. It gets a little much when she starts getting the same tattoos as me but overall I just want people to separate the image and listen to the music. It’s about the music. Its like Prince and Michael Jackson, totally different artists. Or its like Kanye West and Jay-Z. So what? They are both black men, they sound different. So they both wear jeans, they are different. And why would you want the same type of artist?Have you guys met?

.I have to be honest, when I saw Rihanna get those star tattoos, FeFe was the first person I thought about. Rihanna even got them in the same place. I personally think that Def Jam took FeFes style, and put it on Rihanna. IMO. But people dont research, once they see someone come out and change their look, the first thing they say is, “Oh she is a fashion icon,” and so on. But whatever.
I commend Fefe for that real and mature comment. It was obvious that Rihanna stole her style and many artists do it! It’s absolutely ridiculous and I hate that people wanna act like it’s okay to be the same or copy off someone else just because everyone is doing it.

Rihanna may have copied FeFe as far as the tats are concerned but that’s where it ends for me. Rihanna said that they wanted her to be another Beyonce back when she came out. I like Rihanna and I will continue to support her. When I hear something from FeFe that I like I will support her too.

Oh please. Let’s not start with this crap. Rihanna did not steal Fefe’s style. The punk look doesn’t exactly belong to anyone (as Beyonce fans are always trying to say when she tries it).
And Rihanna is not just punk. She mixes it with urban, and sexy, revealing pieces as well. Rihanna’s style is so very different from Fefe’s you can take any recent pick of Rihanna and compare it to the one above and clearly see that there are almost no similarities at all.
Like I’ve said before, Rihanna’s style is glamorous gothic rock star and Fefe’s is just grunge punk rock. Think Evanesence s. Blink 182, or My Chemical Romance vs. Nirvana. If you don’ t know your rock bands, those comparisons won’t help. But, if you don’t know your rock bands, you probably don’t know what you’re talking about when it comes to this style of dress anyway.

Rihanna is famous because she actually has good songs that are catchy. Maybe she didn’t write the ones she is known for but she is still the artist that made the song hot. The songs she is given fit her voice and she makes them work. No she isn’t going to belt out a ballad like Whitney would do but not everyone wants to hear that kind of music all the time. There is a time and place for everything and Rihanna’s music has a time and place as well. Maybe I don’t feel like hearing sappy slow songs. Maybe I want something to keep me awake instead of putting me to sleep. Rihanna is a talented young lady…She doesn’t do what the typical R&B divas do. She is in a different lane and some of us happen to like what she does.
