The blogs are a buzz with the leaking of a supposed new Janet Jackson promo photo this week. The star recently started a twitter page and spoke briefly about working on a new album:

After splitting with Def Jam, she was rumored to be releasing an album this year under Live Nation. But after the tragic death of her brother, Michael Jackson – the new release was pushed back.

At first the picture just looked like a drawing of a black girl with European featurest to me. Then I read who it is a drawing of, which made me realize, that yes, that DOES look like Janet, but with a slimmer face. And after taking a better look at it, especially when covering the high hair, I was like damn does she EVER look like Michael.
I like that the drawing doesn’t have her looking like a ho. And the pose is fierce too.
Anyways, I hope she comes back with a vengeance and just ruling the charts (and box office of course).

Bushwick, that pic looks so photo-shopped that I can only call it a great “drawing” of Janet. The only thing that looks real enough, to me, about her in that pic are her hands. But the chair looks real enough…

Wow. This looks like it was left over from Discipline. Cant B Good is my SONG, I think Janets next project will be better than her last efforts now that JD is out of the equation. They should have never crossed hands when working on her music bc homegirl has her own style.

She looks half human half machine. Her face looks like solid metal and porcelain and the neck down looks human. Looks like some terminater character. I dont even believe that’s her body, it looks so elongated, it doesnt even suit her head.
I should add, in that pic Janet looks a lot like Michael as he did when he was much younger of course, not as much as how Michael looked when the late ’90s or ’00s pics and vids. This isn’t meant as a diss of Michael.

Idk about this!!! Janet is cool but this situation wit Mike makes this all seem to iffy. So soon! Has she given herself time to accept what has come to terms. She’s a cool entertainer tho, so who know. And does she really have a baby. See, these Jackson, something about thing has always been a little weird to me and this recent situation has definitely reiterated that thought. I wish that God will keep them and protect them.
Just seems like Janet tries too hard sometimes to be edgy…kinda like Rihanna…it just doesn’t come off natural. Although the pic is interesting, Janet is just not that interesting anymore…Sorry!

#28….I sooo disagree with you. Janet doesn’t have to make a comeback. SHE’S JANET. Did you know that one (maybe more) of MJ’s albums ‘flopped.’ So what did that mean? NOTHING. Britney may out sell Janet and everybody for that matter. Does that mean Britney is a better entertainer? NOT EVEN REMOTELY.
Icons don’t have to make a comeback. That’s why they are Icons. And titles like Icon and Legend are being used awfully loosely nowadays. It’s not just about being hot NOW it’s about being in your 40′s and 50′s (Janet & Michael) and still being able to sell out arenas.
