Winner of UK singing competition The X Factor ’08, Alexandra Burke heads to a Rolling Stone party Thursday night in Los Angeles, California.
The singer is currently working on her debut album, which is slated for an October release in the U.K. It was also announced recently that Burke had signed a six figure contract with Italian fashion designers Dolce & Gabbana, which would see her become the face of a new fashion line.

Alexandra Burke has said that she is too busy to "muck about" with boys. The former X Factor winner told Metro that she did not have time for casual relationships. "I was dating this guy - an older guy - last year and I wanted more from it," she said.

She is HUGE.
Is she signed with RocNation?? I read that Jay Z is producing her new album and she has been seen out to dinner with him and Beyonce. She has a beautiful voice and personality. I wish her much success. She is new so she will not look all glammed up like those that have been in the business for a while. But she is still a very pretty girl.

X-Factor is a 13-week advert for whatever record the winner releases. Anybody could have got to No.1 with that amount of promotion.
Her song was rubbish and completely soul-less. It had no real emotion- just because you can hit a high note doesn’t mean there is any emotion in your voice when you sing.
I hope she does make it big in the US that way they can keep her and the rest of Simon Cowell’s manufactured crap.

Secondly, way to state the obvious: “dang only in the US are you ONLY famous if they know you in the US” well, duh! Look, I consider myself to have a global outlook as well, but couldn’t the same be said for many “regional” celebrities? There are many Korean celebrities that I’ve never heard of, but that doesn’t make them any less “huge” in their home country. Although it’s true that many American celebs have global fan-bases, the same cannot be said for famous people from other countries, where they are primarily only known in their own country.
