@62. sigh, I’m not trying to figure out why Kelly has that purse. I don’t care why she has it. The purse has its purpose in Britian, but it symbolizes something entirely different to southern whites. That’s all I was debating…not Kelly’s “homage payment”, because I’m sure Kelly doesn’t have a clue about the history of anything that ain’t “Bootylicious”. She found a winning ticket to England and she cashed it in. She represents black America over there about as much as that purse represents Britian in Alabama, Mississippi and North Carolina.
The pattern and colors on that purse are the ties that binds the Ks together. Now, don’t get me wrong, Britian has some of the emperial mud on its shoes too, but thats not my debate here. I’m only talking about the confederate flag in the dirty south.

When she is globetrotting all over the world do you honestly think people in Japan or Africa are going to be thinking about what this symbol may represent to some low life rednecks in the South? You can’t live your life around what a couple of hundred thousand folks are going to be thinking, when a couple of hundred million are seeing something beautiful and positive. The only way that I would relate Japan and Africa to this discussion is to expose the “couple of hundred thousand folks” who have murdered, r@ped and abused people of color for nearly 500 years. There are things that flag represent that Britian should not see as beautiful and positive. Just like the American flag has innocent blood on it.

And, all the details that you mentioned about the flags components are pointless, because the racist confederates in the south have hundreds of variation of the British flag. They even raise flags with pastel colors and flowers to offset the shame of the British cross. Don’t be fooled when you see a house with a flag in the south, you know message.
If you visit any prison in America, you will discover that the two strongest symbol of white supremecy are the British cross and the Swastika tatooed across the entire back of an white inmate.
