♫ Usher – Cruisin’
Usher is currently putting the finishes touches on his highly anticipated new album, MONSTER, so tracks are leaking left and right. But the song “Cruisin” (produced by Dre & Vidal), is reportedly an unreleased song featured on ‘the Future of R&B 28′ Mixtape hosted by singer Kevin Cossom. Check out “Cruisin’” above.
According to Hollyscoop, the new album features a song entitled ‘Filing Papers’ (probably about his pending divorce from his estranged wife Tameka Foster). He says:
“We’re just recycling a lot of what we do or at times what has been done, so there’s been so many great artists who have been able to tell stories. I kind of grabbed on to a few of my personal stories and put it in my music grabbed on to some of the emotion of the past, you know what a classic R&B Usher pop record is”.

Divorcing his wife/mother of his kids, gettin’ his little kid on…
He started a family and he should make it work, he sat there and laid with her and had 2 kids, deal with it. Divorce should never be a option in my opinion, it means you just have to try harder to make things work. Sacrifice a little. Put your fam first.
it’s alright…it has a very similar beat like “Caught up”, so nothing to write mom about. I hope his album is better.

I totally think people didn’t like Tameka b/c she was darker skinned than your average famous young black woman but more so b/c she wasn’t more attractive in the face like say a Gabriel Union, Kelly Rolland or Jessica White. I agree that if his mama hated her that bad then something was up…I wonder who he’s going to date next? Hopefully he’ll take time to heal, bond with his sons and work on his career before we see him hand and hand out shopping with someone new.

This song is just ok. I like some of Usher’s older stuff (especially when he works with The Neptunes), but his arrogance and attitude is why I’m not a fan. Calling the younger R&B cats out, talking about how they should be paying homage to him for paving the way and how they have been influenced by him…NEGRO PLEASE! Most of these younger guys are channeling Michael Jackson, and now even Prince (Justin Timberlake). Just because you swagger jacked first doesn’t make you an original.
He was completely hyping his last album like it was the return of the King, and it wasn’t hot at all. I liked maybe 2 tracks off that whole album. This one is being hyped up the same way. I wish him the best, but with a title like Monster I hope it doesn’t disappoint.

Production & writing is very weak, this song is not going Usher any good, he can come back harder and stronger than that, Jive keep looking you’ll find a hit! usher is the man!!!!
@5 I’m all about working on a relationship especially when children are involved but if it doesn’t work it doesn’t work. Living with parents who don’t get along, fight etc is worse than them living apart…thus we really can’t say he was getting his kid on.
Wow I dont think I’ve ever heard a Dre and Vidal production described as weak… The weakest track the’ve ever done was the Ciara “Oh” and that was for a certain nitch and actualy was a hit. These dudes are the closest we’ll get to Stevie Wonder out there. (although they are clones of him in a sense.)

@ # 26: I totally co-sign with you! I am all about making it work once you take those vowels, but sometimes it just doesn’t work out! I mean they were only married for like what, 2 years! If it didn’t last that long then it probably wasn’t that strong to begin with. I think their love was really just lust and I honestly think he onlyy got married because she got pregnant . Even though kids are involved, if they aren’t getting along, it best for them to be apart instead of arguing in front of the kids, that is a much worse situation.
I was really rooting for them. Especially since everyone else was hating on home girl hard!! I didn’t really get what that was all about! What, because she was older a not as attractive as his previous girl! Damn, give the girl a break! Hell at least she was black!! Well, I am not really feelin the song. It’s just ok, but definitely not comeback material. Sounds like something leftover from ‘Here I Stand’ and I know he doesn’t wanna go back down that route. That was a horrible follow up to ‘Confession’! I mean I luv me some Usher and I know he’s not in his twenties anymore and he should grow musically, but this Usher I just can’t get with! It does seem like every since he got married (and I’m not blaiming her) he lost his swag. Now that he is divorcing, maybe he should have a lot more material to sing about. He could go the ‘Confessions’ route and use his breakup as inspiration. I hope so, cause it seemed like as soon as he got married, he sealed the coffin in his career. But I wonder, now that Usher is making moves at a comeback, has that sealed the coffin in Chris Brown’s career?! Lord know his career is in the shitter right not! Lol! Still luv you though Breezy.

After Maxwell’s new album, these artist better stepUP their game. The song is boring. His voice sounds like he’s really not that much into it. Too much drama in his life.
Damn this sounds good Usher! If you are reading this, be consistent with this sound it’s great and please don’t jump on this techno auto tune bandwagon like everyone else. Some people have no taste, there is nothing wrong with this song and this is exactly why mainstream music now sucks ass, this song could have easily fit into the Confessions album or 8701 which is his best work of his career.
