President Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama and daughters Sasha and Malia return to the White House on Sunday after a week-long vacation at Martha’s Vineyard.

Every time I see them tears almost come to my eyes because I’m so proud being an african american young woman to see my 1st beautiful african american family living in the White House and being so normal just like everyone else.

I hate the losers on this site complaining about Malia’s hair. The child is wearing her hair naturally, she likes the natural texture, and style of her NATURAL hair – we African American’ s should be happy, and proud of her, that she is embracing her natural hair, her African American hair, and that she is comfortable being herself! Malia is an inspiration, a child who is 100% comfortable being African American being herself, and we can clearly see that in Malia’s decision to embrace wearing her hair naturally, the way that GOD made it!
All those who are complaining about malia’s hair need to start asking themselves why do I hate MY natural hair!
Hope they get to go on another vacation because this vacation was sad with the funeral and all. Hopefully they will get to go back on another note.
They do do something with Malia’s hair when its a special occasion. She is a little girl, is anything off limits with you folk!! Most little kids dont want to be bothered with all that when they have their mind on playing. A ponytail will help keep her hair from drying out from the daily wear and tear of heat styling etc. That’s why little girls today dont have any hair now because all those tight braids, weaves, and heat styling, going to the salon every week, sit down and put that hair in a ponytail with a marble bow and go play in the yard. That’s what I like about this family, they let their girls be kids first and dont get into this looking grown as a child. Or “no malia you cant wear that because of what some vain people may say”. Whatever. Go Obamas.
Anyways, Sasha has the ponytail but same difference for the twist dreads for Malia.
