Award winning actor Denzel Washington and his wife Pauletta Washington was spotted leaving a store after shopping on Melrose Ave in Beverly Hills on Thursday afternoon. The duo, who have been married for 25 years, were seen laughing while walking to their car.

I love this couple, beautiful black women (dark skinned at that) someone mentioned 25 yrs of marriage, that is a great thing but remember the generation we are in now, there’s way to much competition plus I don’t think people look for love anymore, there more into what they can get or how someone looks or what someone has. You people back then (not sayingt they are old) but older people believe in staying together & making it work & I’m not only talking about blacks – it’s the generation. If you look at Jet magazine it always a married couple in the been married at least 40-50 yrs or more, I do not believe that will happen in this generation.

When a couple can still smile after twenty five years in counting that’s a great man in woman we know they have had there share of problems but through it all they can still smile. i believe the reason so many marriages are failing today because there is no dept to the reason why they got marry in the first place.
Denzel and Pauletta,have had their share of marital problems but instead of running away from the problems and splitting up,like so many couples do in this generation,they chose to work their problems out, That`s the difference between the old school generation and today`s celebrity couples ,the younger couples today want to run and split up the first time they have a serious problem.Perhaps, if Kelis ,for example had talked to Denzel and Pauletta and got some wisdom and advice from them,instead of running,,maybe her and Nas would still be married today.

I love this couple. They seem so down to Earth. And when I look at celebs who have credits like Denzel, its so funny to see this younger generation who take body guards everywhere they go, and are too good to even carry their own umbrellas/bags, etc., but people like Denzel, Will Smith, Robert Deniro, Brad Pitt, Halle Berry are always out and about w/o all the protection and they are really known, everywhere.
