I agree…Amerie is a lyric soprano and a damn good one. Her vocals are very expressive…not so much based on technique but expression. You can tell by hearing songs such as 1 thing, Like it use to be, nothing like loving you etc.
I think she has a waaaaaaaaaaay better head voice and wish she would use it more. Her whistle is really good too..and most would be shocked that she can pull it off.
It’s dope. I can already tell Amerie’s new album is gonna be hot from beginning to end. Thank God she still has sense enough not to chase the same sound as everyone else and and is actually doing true R&B. She will definitely be getting my support as usual.

i absolutely loved it. i remember when they first started recording it a while back(earlier this year or end of last year). it’s nice to finally hear the finishing product. i’ve never heard trey songz do a song with any female (unless he remixed the song lol) so i think amerie is a perfect fit for the job. both are underrated artist with a beautiful sound that always bring something unique to the table. I like the song as far as trey’s part but Amerie can’t sing at all to me and her voice is annoying he should collaborate w/Jazmine Sullivan, Beyonce or Alicia Keys or a female that have great vocal abilities
