A surprise October issue of Harper’s Bazaar, featuring Janet Jackson both on newsstands and the subscriber’s cover was announced. Janet breaks the silence for the first time since Michael’s death in a world exclusive interview for Harper’s Bazzar (check out a snippet below):
Janet Jackson hasn’t watched television since her brother Michael died suddenly in Los Angeles on June 25. She has blocked herself off completely from the hysterical media coverage of his death — who did it, what did it. “It will drive you crazy,” she says. “People can have rhinoceros skin, but there’s a point when something’s going to hurt you. Not everyone is stone, stone. I haven’t watched the news in weeks. I had to ask my chef, How’s Obama doing? I haven’t read a newspaper. On top of that, [we've lost] a family member.”

MTV CONFIRMS JANET FOR VMAS
In related news, it was confirmed earlier this week that Janet Jackson will join their special tribute to Michael Jackson at the 2009 Video Music Awards, set to air LIVE on September 13th.
Janet looks great, and I know she’s gonna shut it down on Sunday night.

Am glad she hasn’t been reading / watching any of this media fiasco about MJ. At least she can focus on what she wants to do or do in her own way without the whole world burging in into her business as well. Human beings always love to prey on each other as to who, where, what, how etc. Sometimes it can be bit unfair for others. I wish the family all the best and still keep them in my prayers.

The interview’s article was spiritual healing, touching, and warm hearted. The two parts that got to me was when the last time they were together, Michael laughed so hard that he cried. The other part was she referred to him in the present and then apologized for it. Janet’s is a strong black woman and that why she is my #1 entertainer and I WILL ALWAYS BE A “FANET” IN THE WORDS OF TYRA BANKS.
