A surprise October issue of Harper’s Bazaar, featuring Janet Jackson both on newsstands and the subscriber’s cover was announced. Janet breaks the silence for the first time since Michael’s death in a world exclusive interview for Harper’s Bazzar (check out a snippet below):
Janet Jackson hasn’t watched television since her brother Michael died suddenly in Los Angeles on June 25. She has blocked herself off completely from the hysterical media coverage of his death — who did it, what did it. “It will drive you crazy,” she says. “People can have rhinoceros skin, but there’s a point when something’s going to hurt you. Not everyone is stone, stone. I haven’t watched the news in weeks. I had to ask my chef, How’s Obama doing? I haven’t read a newspaper. On top of that, [we've lost] a family member.”

MTV CONFIRMS JANET FOR VMAS
In related news, it was confirmed earlier this week that Janet Jackson will join their special tribute to Michael Jackson at the 2009 Video Music Awards, set to air LIVE on September 13th.
Ooooh Weee!! I cant wait to see the VMA’s! I know they are gonna make Mike so proud with their dedication to him. Plus they will have young Chrissy performing as well. Stay lifted in prayer Janet..Michael will never be forgotten.

It’s about time her and Tina got back together. I’m glad she’s working with all the talent that she used to work with in the past. It’s going to be nothing less than amazing to see her and these top notch dancers kill it!!!!!!!!!!!!
Janet has so much class the way she is dealing with her brother’s death reminds me of Jennifer Hudson being the glue that kept her family together.

i have watched janet and her brother michael stepping it off and she could step right with michael and never missed a beat. she has been surrounded by the best of the best all of her life. when you are the baby girl like janet and have made a name for yourself thats really good.
