FAB-U-LOUS!!!! Beautiful ladies!
Do they have something in their eye?
Pingback: PYT. « Life is JUICY
gotta’ love the recognization they’re getting now. in small quantities, but atleast they’re getting well deserved shine.
it almost amazes me how ignorant some can be. despite they are of different nationality – they’re still considered black……
if you date anyone outside of your race you do NOT need to justify it with a b.s reasoning. it always disturbs me.
LOVE IT!!!! That’s my background image on twitter! absolutely GORGEOUS!!!
Pretty ladies.
@ 2, they are Afro Latinos. You should read up on them!
Go Arlenis Sosa!!! Rep D.R. Baby!!!!!
These ladies are looking lovely!!!!
It’s funny most people know Chanel and she’s the least successful of the four at the moment. I guess she’s going for that red carpet celebrity over high fashion modeling success.
All of the girls self-identify as black, so that’s all that really matters. Sessilee is half afro-hispanic and half African American. Chanel is half Korean, half African American. Doesn’t make any of them less black.
Anyways, my favorite of the bunch is Arlenis Sosa. She’s about to be more major than she already is.
@59 If you think Vogue has nothing to do with black models than you must be SLOWWWWWWWWW, my point was all this talent should be on a HIGHER forum than I.D. I brought up Rihanna because shes the last black person I have seen on Vogue so far and I acknowledged that her pics looked good. So before you comment on MY comment I suggest you read it, smarta$$.
this is a gorgeous cover. and umm there are black people from spanish countries i mean helllooo some of you need to travel….everyone black isn’t from america i am black and none of my family is from america they are all from south america and the caribbean does that make me less black? also if you did your research you would know that the other ALL these models are highly popular not just chanel iman…some of you commenting should stick to your celeb gossip fashion is not your fortay.
As a young BLACK CUBAN woman….I find it sad that grown people can be so damn ignorant in this day and age….
I’m sooo damn tired of people looking and acting soooo shocked when they see black Hispanics….growing up for me in Brooklyn it was nothing out of the ordinary b/c I went to school with other young boys and girls like myself….but as I get older and venture out people always react to me like I’m some other species when they find out my last name or ear me speak Spanish and it pisses me off!!!…
Cuba is way more thean 50% black and the rest is classified as mezcla or white….ughhhh open a damn history book folks!!
Anway all of these women are beautiful!!!
why are we still comparing brown women it is a photo shoot why put it down why bring up singers they have nothing 2 do with any thing and please sum 1 tell desire or lets just ignore that WHITE PERSON cos i know they r white trying to make black people look that dumb black people didn’t even speak English first we so shhhh we are brown no matter wat country we are from anyway….. i love this they are all beautiful they look lyk normal brown girls u see everyday i am sick of only seeing white models on run way and really dark models with no hair we come in different colours and we DO HAVE HAIR why only have them as main stream. kmt miss iman i love her so much and i am proud that they all seem 2 be focus on being succesful
Some of you are too damn ignorant.
Anyway, Jourdann is hiding that baby weight good. They all look fab, but my girl Jourdann is repping for the UK. Go head girl!
all girls not black
They green
Plus Arlenis Sosa sale out bitch$$$$$$$$$
72. HMMM.
You are proud for her lol iman is whore!
love it!
I CAN’T BELIEVE YALL STILL ON COLOR. WTF WHY IS BLACK PPL STILL GETTING SEPARATE SPREADS IN MAGAZINES. DAMN I THOUGHT WE WAS PAST THIS. OUR PRESIDENT IS BLACK DAMN QUIT SEPARATING US FROM THE REST. IF U INTO FASHION U WILL KNOW THAT BLACK MODELS ARE USUALLY DARK SKINNED AND THEY ARE VERY SUCCESSFUL IN THE FASHION INDUSTRY. WE DON’T HAVE TO KEEP PINPOINTING EVERY DAMN THING.
@ 2….
What the hell does a black last name “sound” like? There are probably more black people with last names like Sosa and Lopez than with names like Smith and Jackson. Do the research boo!
I luv me some black models…;-)I
ooooo so cool
@12 Who the hell even uses the word “redbone” anymore? They have being video hoes on lock lol. It’s damn near then end of 2009, there’s a black man in the White House and so many black people still stuck on this color crap! You should be ashamed of yourself degrading your own kind like that. Brandon, assuming you’re black, what color is the woman who gave birth to you? Epic Fail dude.
I’m not gonna waste time on the black/Hispanic stuff either…I see others on here have explained it already.
Damn some of you African Americans are truly and deeply i-g-n-o-r-a-n-t!!!!!
Im black British and Im proud, Thank God my Grandad didnt set up home in the States,
some of you have no concept of culture, and truly cursed with what happened back in slavery days, why dont you all move on for once. You really need to travel the world and see how your Black cousins and relatives are living here in Europe, and then you will understand how silly your ignorance is. And that comment about red bones having it on lock, what foolishness, I ve learnt that there are many black people in particular black men that dont like being black, and like to degrade those that love their black, Brown , chocolate skin.
If you hater being black then do a Michael Jackson and bleach your skin!
Wow what a beautiful bunch of sista’s, we so need to see more beautiful black sista’s on magazine’s, and on the runway, I will make sure to pick up this magazine!! beautiful!!! melanin is beautiful thang!!!
Is chanel iman finally 18? also they darkened those pics….
@86.
She is 19 and I think she’ll be 20 soon. So you’re kinda off lol
# 2 Please tell me what “black” sounds like? Anyways Lopez is from the UK and Sosa is dominican…ignorance
ANyways all those are some of my favorite models!!! I love when CL post on black models..Chanel however is my fav.
*Lopez is from philly
ONLY ONE OF THEM JORDAN DUNN IS FUL BLACK… BUT WATEVA NICE SHOT AND ALL
It’s a lazy afternoon ……
Arlenis Sosa isn’t black, she’s Dominican.
These are all LOVELY ladies of AFRICAN descent. Hello, my fellow African Americans, only 5% of the African slaves went to North America. 95% went to the Caribbean and Latin America so there are FAR more persons of African descent with Portuguese and S panish surnames.
I live in Rio half the year. Brazil has seven times the number of black folks than the US – which is why I live there half the year. We really do nned to travel more as AAs and see the world and you will be shocked at how MANY black folks there are on planet earth compared to the one or two in the United States. It’s a very “freeing” experience as a black person living in Brazil a few months out of the year to be the MAJORITY for once.
desired and rebecca you really are very ignorant! I just recently found this out myself, earlier this year, but Hispanic is not a RACE! LATINO is not a race! All hispanics are of mixed race. I do think that the US who categorized them did a poor job of it! They have Afro Cuban, Afro Puerto Rican… which are black people who were born/raised in a spanish speaking country, but yet WTF are people like Jennifer Lopez considered? You think of her and Pitbull as being Latino because a large amount of Latinos do have a smiliar look to them, but Latinos comes in different races. They say most of them are white.. which can be true, but if they are white… why do they have a distinctive look that fits the “latino” look? I think that since the tribes “Indians” were the first ones/native of many Spanish speaking countries… those are the REAL “Latinos” like many Mexicans. Any other race/ethnicity born in the country should be considered White Latino, Black Latino, Chinses Latino… get my drift
Anyway, I’m glad to see my girl Channel Iman doing it big, but I don’t think this cover is flattering to them. WTF did they make them all the same dark color? Black people come in different skin tones.
