Amerie finally reveals her album cover for her debut over at Def Jam, In Love & War. Some photos, which are posted below, leaked early to show a very artsy vibe, similar to that for her first video, “Why R U?” which was directed by Ray Kay.
Amerie is currently promoting the new album with her second single, “Heard ‘Em All,” which she debuted her video for last week. In Love & War is set to hit stores November 3rd.

Nobodies checking for Amerie.
It baffles me how some of you say how Amerie is “hardly talented.” She has a very textured, soulful voice that is very distinctive and versatile. Her dancing game, while it may not be on some Aaliyah/Janet type shit, is still better than what I’ve seen Rihanna and Ashanti do. She’s a very smart and creative person who has creative control over her career from the imaging to the packaging of her album. Just listen to her speak in interviews. Might I also add that her pen game is crazy; none of that bullish abc, 123 lyrics, just peep her mixtape. Amerie’s fans aren’t just saying hyping up her talent because she’s an underdog in the game. She has the talent, people are just resistant to her because she’s not their favorite artist. There’s room in the game for more than just a handful of female r&b singers to shine. Remember back in the ’90s when you had Aaliyah, Brandy, Monica, Mary, Mya, and etc all on the charts?

I knew she sold out when I saw her first video. It wasn’t her. That was probably the struggle she was going through in getting her album recorded and coming up with a concept, a concept that everyone is using. When everyone is doing something and you follow suit it’s called selling out, and she’s doing just that. First thought that came to mind when I saw the album cover was possession by a fallen angel. SMH.
Cute pics but I smell another flop. Amerie is kinda meh to me, like, who cares. When she first came out she was a fresh face and another option, but since that first album she’s just tried too hard and it comes off like she’ll do just about anything to remain relevant and in the game. I wonder why that 3rd album wasn’t released here?

I listen to Amerie a lot of ppl that is saying she is not really talented probably have listened to her otherwise how can they have an opinion? Her voice to me is very scratchy. Amerie has the right to be artistic because unlike other artists she has a college degree in English and a minor in arts, and she actually knows how to play an instrument.
The concept of her album, yes, this album has a concept and continuity is “In Love & War” The pic is nothing about a fallen angel!! It shows a woman torn (hence the imagery and effects) one side shows the brighter parts of being in love while the other shows the low side/darker.
Bottom line is people will continue to hate on Amerie til no end no matter what she does. The same people that say she sounds the same all the time are the same ones who keep saying she needs to do another 1 thing? WTF When she goes in another direction creatively you say she is trying to be like someone.
Bottom line is that you will continue to hate on Amerie for no reason and she will keep doing what she does because she loves it. She has a deal and this is her fourth album, tell your other rnb hoes to put out 4 solid albums.

PLS….I don’t know why you even go back and forth with some of these lames…some of which post under different names to hate. Cover is hot and different and whether she sales or not she still will have her fanbase and critically acclaim over your puppet artist.
As for her vocals
1 Thing, Crazy Wonderful, Streets Alone, Man up, Float, Gotta work……all of which have different vocals from this soprano.

the real Irritating/ annoying voice is Rhianna’s in “Run this town”! hate that song! and i have bought her cds.
