But over all it’s a nice cd. very mellow, Lyrics (which none was written by whitney but 1, girl learn to write).

I support Nippie 100%! I will be honest and admit her vocals definitely aren’t the same and the new cd is ok…but her comeback is about FAR MORE than music….it’s about her life….and for that reason, I support her! Some of the songs on the cd speak to that and you can tell she’s better now…she looks healthier, she acts different, she smiles more…it’s more than her music. Her voice will never be the same but I’m glad she’s back

To all of those who say her voice is mediocre and not as good/strrong as it used to be, I agree. BUT……I think just like anyone who has been away from their craft for an extended period of time, she will get stronger as time progresses. You wouldn’t expect a boxer who hasn’t been in the ring for a long time to return and deliver TKOs immediately upon his return. Same concept here. I think if she continues to sing, her voice will only strengthen. I bought her cd and I think it was actually very good for her return to music. She has my support 100%.

Keri, Ciara, Solange, LeToya, etc., etc… – none of them were able to sell that many copies their first week out. Some of them haven’t even sold that many albums after multiple singles, videos, promotion and months of having their album in stores.

Ms. Houston, you are still one of the best singers ever and I know with more performance and studio time, your songs with reflect that. I absolutely love how she sang this song. It wasn’t meant to have many high long notes, it was simplistic for a reason. God is showing us all, it doesn’t take all of that extra stuff to get your point across. Many people can learn a life lesson just from this video.

I almost cried, no lie! I’ve been listening to her CD everyday since last week, and this song and video is beautiful! I feel like I have an emotional attachment to her voice, it’s so beautiful to me!
For Whitney, her comeback was evidenced by simply making the decision(s) to turn her life around. Conquering her worst enemy – herself, and not Bobby Brown – was a triumph in and of itself. Her return to the music spotlight shows not only that can still deliver emotion thorugh song, but she survived something that should have killed her.
The video is a shining example of Whitney’s ability to command attention and captivate stage by doing little more than singing. For the first time it seems, the song and the video both reflect heavily on her personal experiences; the mere idea of “I Look to You” is a succint way of alluding to God, and the direction (light, wind, and posturing) makes that obvious.
Life is not about never failing, but always rising from the ashes. Whitney has risen from her ashes, scarred and burned, but she has still risen nonetheless.
I pray that whether or not she continues to record music that she will remain healthy and always look to God.
