Check out the new single from Boyz II Men, entitled “Open Arms,” produced by American Idol and MTV’s ABDC, Randy Jackson. The new single is from their upcoming ninth studio album, Love and was also covered by Mariah Carey and an original song from the rockband Journey.
Love is set for release on November 10th and like their previous album, will be produced by entirely by themselves and Randy Jackson.
This is their third cover album following Throwback, Vol. 1 and Motown: A Journey Through Hitsville USA released in 2004 and 2007 respectively. The album will be composed of love songs.
I love Boys II Men. They sounded really great, can’t wait to hear more from them.

I love how everyone says, wow where have they been. They’ve been touring the world for years now. I’ve seen them in concert at The House Of Blues a few times in the past few years. Good Music is out there people, you just gotta look.
Like some one said eariler: OK PEOPLE! We get it! We have already established the fact that Journey did the song first! Enough already! 27 people telling you that is more than enough! If any of you dumbasses can read it says that it is just a cover and it tells you that Journey did it first and that Mariah covered it in the captions above! People do remakes all the time! It’s not stealing and it doesn’t mean that the preson covering the song isn’t talented and they cannot come up with material on their own! Mariah and B2M have more than enough hits to prove that they are talented! Chill the F out! Damn!
Whew!! Not that I got my rant outta the way, I don’t really care for this version to much. Don’t get me wrong, I love B2M! They are one of my favorite groups of all time! Their talent cannot be denied! But personally I perfer Mariah’s version (yes even over the original) I really think that she brought more to the song than both Journey and B2M! IMHO. I will support B2M because I think they are genuine talent and I wish them much succeses in their comeback. But I am anxious to hear somehting more than a cover form them I know they have it in them!

Boyz II Men did a good job on this song. They have always been great harmonisers.
@ 4 you’re so right no one can do it like Steve Perry lead singer for Journey. However, Mariah did a nice job with it. Boyz was okay but they did not have the range like Perry or Mariah.
One of yall said this song was from the 80s another said from the 90s, correction, Journey recorded this song in the mid 70s.
Let me correct myself, I said no one could do it like Steve Perry. As I thought about it two names came to mind: Petty Labell, Jennifer Hudson. Okay, Mariah did it some justice too.

I love this song, but I like it from Mariah the best. The Boys do sound good tho
