Meh, she’s alright. She sounds just like the rest of them so-called “Soulful r&b” white singers. They all sound a like, either cartoony (Duffy) or I cant describe this pitch and tone but they (Adele, Joss, Amy, some chick I saw on VH1 today) all got it.
And just because you sing a song on a slow beat and scream like you just got shot in your left thigh, dont make it “Real Music”.

The reason they sound like that is because their voices are affected. If you listen to them properly they actually have no range whatsoever.

Joss has a beautiful and soulful voice. She can hang with the best R&B divas. At least she can carry a tune live. Can’t say that for Mariah or Whitney right now.

Joss Stone is my girl. I also like Amy Winehouse, but she needs to get off of her extended mental health day. LOL!!! I know that Winehouse has issues to deal right now, but that does not deny the talent that girl brings to the table.

I really am not feeling Joss Stone as an artist or singer. This song is the only one I have kinda liked of hers. It’s decent. Like I wouldn’t turn the radio off if it came on, but I wouldn’t buy it either. Something about her voice just doesn’t do it for me. I like a wide variety of music, my father is a musician–I have been exposed to everything, and so I am not a fan of watered down music, but Joss stone doesn’t do much for me. However, this song is ok, I must say.
