We have finally laid him to rest, how do you expect no one to talk about his funeral? And since MJ’s death is still being investigated, I’m pretty sure this wont be the last that you will hear of MJ concerning his death. So if you’re “over it”, just don’t read anything that consists of him, and turn the station whenever the news mentions him. It’s just that simple.

Anyhow I pray for the Jackson family especially for his mother and kids. Katherine looks so distraught in that picture. So sad.

What was the point in this memorial? Especially, having the cameras shut off the minute it begins? They should haven’t made a spectacle of it , just kept the memorial private.

i’m confused about MJ, as a fan I looked at him as being black , but not really connected to black people like that. But, suddenly when he dies or is dead, what’s being said and the images are a total different MJ. Like he wasn’t a real sellout like I thought. His employees were black, he was friends with black celebrities, had love for the young black entertainers. His hairstylist was a woman from Compton. His alleged girlfriend was Grace Rwaramba- his children’s nannny. The whole flirting with Kai Chase his black chef. His crush on Kelly Rowland. Who was the real MJJ? I don’t sound silly, because if you took the time to read my post, and not rush to insult me, you would know that I never bought up anything about MJ’s skin disease vitilago. I only discussed the fact that the media portrayed MJ as this black man that distanced himself from black world, because he was only seen with white women such as LMP, Brooke Shields, Debbie Rowe, etc. And they would only focus on his interactions with white people. And considering the fact that MJ was a great manipulator and extremely private man, it’s obvious now that he wasn’t socially “whitewashed” as he for a long time wanted to portray. Because, of his friendships with various black celebrities, his rumored last girlfriend. So, I’m not looking at vitalgo, I’m looking at the social construct (private vs. public persona) of the man. And considering the fact that MJ knew how to manipulate people and was a genius at it, are we begining to see the real MJ.

Get passed the physical, and look deeper into the social metaphorisis, the public image of MJ over the years. Look beyond what is right in front of you. Please, before you attack me.

I was lucky enough to attend the service @ the Staples Center which was very sad, but this service seem rather strange. From my understanding, this service will air on the Jackson’s upcoming reality show…(yes, reality show). Someone please correct me if I’m wrong, but this is wrong. The kids need to heal and they can’t heal if there is a service every month!!! Tisk tisk tisk!

Michael Jackson was a drug addict. It pains me to say this because I admired this man for so many years. He gave me the best parts of my childhood. When Thriller came out, it was on from there. I had just about everything Michael Jackson. I had a wonderful time.

Dr. Murray should be kicked in his nutsack. Although Michael had a hand in his own death. Dr. Murray did nothing to help him. Instead of trying to get this man some treatment he took a job where he knew Michael could end up dead.

I love you, Michael. You beautiful, beautiful soul. It’s not often that people like you are born. I just hope that before you died, you knew that there were people out there who loved you for YOU. Not the superstar you…but the Michael Joseph Jackson HUMAN you.

@9 Agree. Thank You. I am really praying for his mother. You can’t imagine the anguish of a mother over the death of her child no matter how old. I pray all this stress does not take a toll on her health as well. You just wish you could hug her. She has made the right decisions throughout and you could see the kind of mother she is. Hearing her interview with Geraldo just made me a Mrs Katherine fan. Love the way she took up for Joe and her desire to grant her son his wishes. Through all of the trials and tribulations that family has been through with Latoya when she was with dude and the MJ trials, at the end of the day, they love each other and show a united front. That comes from a solid foundation from BOTH parents. Folk with 2 kids cant come together.

@40 Thank You. I think it may have been comforting to be able to see him as many times as they have. I think its worse when you see the casket lowered into the ground. I think the kids, family, and fans find it more comforting that he is an above ground crypt.

Maybe it took so long to put him in the ground because there were multiple autopsies being done and the family wanted to wait for the results in case the police needed more physical evidence. The results were released last week and and the burial is this week. That cant be a coincidence. Plus I’m sure they wanted to secure a proper crypt so that it is safe from all the crazy folks trying to get at the body. The family purchased 12 plots just so no one could really be buried near MJ. MJ was a huge star who died unexpectedly and with no plan in place for his burial. The family was probably just trying to get things right so that his body could be secure. Its easy to rip folks to shreds because they’re actions don’t coincide with the standards we set for burial decency. But i doubt it seriously that the family had anything but good intentions. Give them a break.

The reason that it took so long to bury Michael Jackson is because their was division among Jackson family members about where he should be buried,some wanted to bury him at Neverland and some wanted him to be buried in his hometown of Gary,Indiana.,finally Katherine Jackson stepped in and made the final decision.

To the person who asked , if I lost a parent, yes I did, I lost my mother. And I can’t imagine sitting through another wake or funeral. It was one funeral, because we couldn’t deal with it. Personally, I feel that the children should not have been there, but I’m looking at my experience. I can’t even go to my mom’s gravesite, because it’s too painful. Let the kids escape, without having different ceremonies, that’s all I’m saying. But atleast Katherine kept the casket closed.

That was not a funeral it was his burial. He never had his burial, because they could not get where they wanted to bury him (Neverland)………..Geese

It is sooo annoying and frustrating how dumb some people can be. Everybody has a funeral and a burial………….Famous people often have memorials too. That’s all he had. Stop all ya whining.

Everybody that wanted bury MJ soon would be disappointed to know had they done so they risk the LAPD and Coroner’s Office exhuming the body from the crypt; thereby, disturbing the crypt for the Autopsy purposes. If you ever been apart of the process it’s typically gut wrenching when you have to tell a family we are digging a loved one’s body and going to examine it more thoroughly (usually means cutting the body to examine the tissue).

My best guess the family was trying to avoid that and make sure he had a private spot not just for his final resting place, but for them as well (they all are getting up in age).

Man, this nigga done died once. How many times can you die? Three months from now they’ll be burying him again.

I agree with maybe a tiny portion of what Judah said and it was in reference to the family making the media think that they could not decide all this time what to do with Michael’s body…and it ends there!. There was some differences and I am sure they decided way before last week, but this was an ongoing investigation and I believe they likely wanted everything done with before they laid him to rest. From day one the family cried foul play. Michael’s most adult life has been a media circus and his death no different, but just think how much worse this would have been to have to had laid him to rest and then go exhume the body for more evidence etc. As for the kids, we have no idea what is going on behind the scenes and is not giving the family enough credit. There could be child psychlogist working with them through this entire process and we don’t know because guess what…we don’t have to know everything just because they are a famous family. All I would like to see now is those involved brought to justice. Yes, Michael had a hand in his own death due to his addiction, but would not have been able to have done so if not surrounded by greedy doctors that would compromise their oaths for the sake of money. They all need to be stripped of their licenses to practice. I am hoping the D.A is and LA PD taking their time because they don’t want any slip-ups and technicalities to allow them, if more doctors are involved or Dr. Murray to slither away free.

@43, thank you for laying it all down. I hate when people refuse to understand the issue with his skin condition, even when I explain to them a bunch of times. He had vitiligo and later developed lupus. His addiction to prescription pill came about when he burned his hair during that Pepsi commercial shooting and he was put on them for a while by a DOCTOR. Unfortunately he became addicted and checked into rehab in the early ’90’s- which isn’t uncommon because stars now-a-days check into rehab like it’s disneyland- and it caused his death. The only thing that might have been a bit odd was his obsession with plastic surgery on his nose BUT you can’t blame a guy who was told all throughout his childhood and teenage years that he’s UGLY and his nose was too FAT by HIS OWN FATHER! dammit Joe, go to hell! Mj was a cute boy and grew into a handsome young man.

About damn time they finally laid him to rest and stop using him to extend their 15 min. smh.
R.I.P. the greatest entertainer and philanthropist of this century. all too often we only focus on his musical genius forgetting he donated billions to children’s charity worldwide. he will be forever missed. I’m glad he’s found the peace he never found in life and he will be remember by his legions of fans worldwide on every birthday. we were lucky to be blessed by his genius and thanks to DVD, Music, Movies and YouTube MJ will live on!!!
