Serena Williams and Venus Williams pose with the championship trophy after defeating Cara Black of Zimbabwe and Liezel Huber in the Women’s Doubles final of the 2009 U.S. Open on Monday (September 14) in the Flushing neighborhood of the Queens borough of New York City.
This win comes a couple of days after Serena was disqualified from a match over the weekend. She recently wrote about it on her official blog:
I understand that I may have let some of you all down in regards to my behavior during the semifinals of the US OPEN. If you watch the damn US Open yesterday, you would have seen Roger Federer cursing out the judges or linesman, whatever the hell you wanna call them.
