VH1′s Hip Hop Honors 2009 is the first time the show will be honoring a record label. Host Tracy Morgan and a slew of superstar performers and presenters celebrated the legacy of Def Jam Recordings. The actual show will air on October 13th but view photos from the performance/appearances below.

More material from Christina Milian has leaked this week. But this time, it’s some tracks that she recorded pre-The Dream. “Beat On My Drum” was produced by Madd Scientist, and sounds like he sampled a drumline, hence the title. It’s a shame that this song leaked, because I think it could have been sold to someone else, since Milian’s new album, Elope, is supposed to be produced and written by The Dream, Tricky Stewart and L.O.S. exclusively.

Here’s a track from Brandy’s Human sessions. The song was produced by Eric Hudson. As usual, Brandy sounds amazing. Especially over the simplicity of this track. I can understand completely why it was left off of her last album, Human. There is something a little unfinished about the song. Brandy is supposedly hard at work on a new album, so be on the look-out to hear some new material from her soon.
Guess who was spotted filming a project in Beverly Hills earlier this week? Hint: He recently teamed up with Quincy Jones for an education campaign for the kids.
Fans of Lil’ Wayne and the whole Young Money roaster will be pleased to know that the gang is soon to release a compilation album, where the members will collaborate on a slew of songs to display their talent.
“Bed Rock,” featuring Lloyd on a track with Lil’ Wayne, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Gudda Gudda, Tyga and Jae Millz. The track was produced by Kane Beatz and is rumored to be the new single.
