EVENTS: BMI URBAN MUSIC AWARDS IN NYC

Musicians Bootsy Collins and George Clinton (winner of the BMI Icon Award) laugh it up at the BMI Urban Awards at Jazz at Lincoln Center on Thursday night in New York City.

NEWS: PRESIDENT & FIRST LADY OBSERVE A MOMENT OF SILENCE FOR 8TH ANNIVERSARY OF SEPT. 11TH ATTACKS

U.S. President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama observe a moment of silence for 9/11 victims on the South Lawn of the White House Friday, September 11th in Washington, DC. Today marked the eighth anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

US Vice President Joe Biden and his wife Dr. Jill Biden also observed the anniversary by visiting the reflecting pool at Ground Zero during a 9/11 memorial ceremony in New York City.
