Whitney Houston and her daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown (pictured below) hit up ABC’s ‘Good Morning America’ on Tuesday morning in New York City.
According to reports, the singer’s voice was a little off while performing the 3 song gig and she said this to the crowd:
“I’m so sorry. I did ‘Oprah,”‘ Houston said. “I’ve been talking for so long. … I talked so much, my voice … . I shouldn’t be talking. I should be singing.”
The anticipated Oprah Winfrey episode will be airing later on this month and Houston’s long-awaited new album is in stores now.

I broke down watching her perform I Look to You because I love the lyrics and I love her CD!! Not only that I am jobless and sometimes people don’t know what you are going through. Sometimes, I ask why me? I am getting that CD today..

I didn’t see it but I don’t think people care if her performance is so off and she didn’t owe an explanation. I think the public is generally glad to see her back out there. She could’ve been another celeb disaster story but she triumphed.

Really dont care 4 Whitney this time around! She sounds HORRIBLE! she was doing a show this past weekend in Central Park, NYC and her voice kept cracking, she was hardly singing, the crowd was doing most of the singing as well hitting HER high notes, and she used the same excuse, SHE BEEN TALKING A LOT! please, shes a washed up has been and no1 is checking 4 her now a days, her time has left, NEXT!
Her performance as I expected wasn’t old Whitney, but I was very happy with it. As she said, her voice was strained, but she did come out very strong and entertained the audience. We have to give her credit for not canceling the show like some entertainers would.
I thought she looked great, happy, and I wish her the best. By the way I picked up the CD and it is sooo goood!
I think she did okay, i was just glad to see her in good spirits, looking healthy and happy thats what matters the most.

I watched and I have to say that Whitney looked great!!! She seems very happy and healthy! I must say that her voice is not even close to what it used to be. If she was just stating out she would not make it. She talked through a lot of songs instead of singing and her backup singers, audience and sound system did most of the singing. Maybe after she gets used to performing again it will be better.

She is the LAST person I expected to abuse her body and ruin her perfect voice. But she has overcome that part of her life. I wish she wasn’tpunished for it though. Her voice is NOT half of what it used to be. But hey, I’m sure that if she continues to use her voice it’ll come back to her. Mary J. Blige’s voice came back to her. she was perfection- stunning, had an amazing and smooth but powerful voice- just perfect but the drugs messed it up- she sort of got her looks back (u know she would’ve been 10x prettier than she looks now) but the voice will never come back

During the whole entire time on GMA, she was out of breath, had the audience sing parts of her songs for her, and don’t even get me started on the God awful notes that were just a disaster from hell. She even had her own daughter try to some damage control for her. But big ups to Bobbie C. She has developed into a very cute young woman.
Whitney will NEVER be able to tour again. There is nothing left there.
My whole point is that if you clowns are going to rip Mariah for sounding like crap live, you should be fair, and do the same damn thing for Whit, as well. Instead of kissing her ass, and acting as if she gave the perfect vocal performance.
