Check out the new movie poster from upcoming film Takers, starring Matt Dillon, Idris Elba, Paul Walker, T.I., Chris Brown, Hayden Christensen and Michael Ealy.
Synopsis:
The film, directed by John Luessenhop, revolves around a notorious group of criminals who continue to baffle police by pulling off perfectly executed bank robberies. They are in and out like clockwork, leaving no evidence behind and laying low in between heists. But when they attempt to pull off one last job with more money at stake than ever before, the crew may find their plans interrupted by a hardened detective who is hell-bent on solving the case.
The original title for the movie was Bone Deep but was renamed to Takers this year. The film will hit theaters on August 20, 2010.

UMMM this movie was filmed b4 the rihanna incident and cb will not be replaced. rihanna and t.i. filmed Live your life on the set of this movie i.e. the theme of the damn video. Cb one incident that he owned up to has nothing to do with his professional life in my opinion. Cb will not be recasted. If T.I. c=is still in the movie best believe so is 20 yr old CB..

Seems like a good storyline, of course it won’t get good reviews by Hollywood’s standards, but the movies they say are great movies usually have the worse storylines in my opinion.

this movie was shot WAYYY before Chris’s charges and T.I going to jail. I think CL even posted pictures of Chris on set 6 months to a year ago. The poster is horrid. The guy in the middle looks sooooo out of place. Idris looks like he’s suprised he’s on the poster. They need to go back to the drawing board.

The poster looks great – not one man on there could look bad…And as for the uninformed comments about Chris Brown’s or T.I.’s acting, they have both been in several movies and are naturals at it, especially Chris Brown. So how can you have a comment on someone’s abilities if you haven’t even seen them peform before – watch This Christmas – Chris Brown. ATL for T.I. Then at least you’ll have something to base your criticism’s on. And I detest the arrogant statement calling this Ocean’s 11 with SUBPAR actors. First of all, Idris Elba can out act anyone in Ocean’s 11. And secondly, why can’t there be a cast of characters in a movies that is diverse, so that the movie is something that ALL of American would want to see. I haven’t seen any of the Ocean’s11, 12 or whatever movies because I have no interest in watching Brad Pitt or George Cloney – but now that Idris Elba and Chris Brown are in this movie – it’s something of interest to me. When will mainstream America ever accept that it’s not all about them?????
Ok, for all the slow people, all of CB’s scenes were shot and completed in 2008, long before the incident with him and Rihanna. The film was always slated for release in 2010 and was not pushed back because of the CB or TI’s legal troubles. Ti, who is the executive producer of the film, said that CB scenes were never going to be cut nor was he to be removed from the promotion (i.e. poster and trailors). TI will more than likely be out of prison by the time the movie is released next January, due to his hours of community service that were credited to him. Both TI and CB will be in the movie and appart of the promotion of the film. Due to all the fine ass men in the movie, I am sure the film will do just fine. Regardless of the critics, the CB haters, and the opinions of the actors and their acting abilities, (or lack their of) the movie will more than likely do very well. Get over it.

Ok, being that they are all in the film, they are clearly working actors! So how the hell are they ‘poster-children-for-out-or-work-actors’! How does that even make any since?! All of the men in the poster have been working steadily. Just because you are not familiar with their work does not mean that they are not getting roles. Paul Walker was just in The Fast and the Furious 3, which was a blockbuster! Hayden Christensen was in Star Wars trilogies, which have become one of the highest grossing films of all time. He has been low key more recently working on independent films. Chris Brown was in the blockbuster “Stomp the Yard” and the movie ‘This Christmas”. TI was in “ATL” which got three stars and was critically acclaimed and American Gangster that was also critically acclaimed and Oscar nominated! Michael Ealy is also a accomplised actor who most of us know from “Barbershop”, but he is mostly and independent actor who has been nominated for a Golden Globe and an Emmy. Matt Dillion is an accomplished actor who is well respected in the industry. Idris Alba is an up and coming actor who has been in many roles over the past few years, most recently ‘Obsessed’. These men are ALL working actors and have nothing to prove! Their track records speak for themselves! What do you mean you don’t see Will or Brad? Are they the only males actors in Hollywood? Do you expect them to be in every movie? Are other male actors not supposed to get any roles? Newsflash: Will and Brad have done some crappy movies! No actor is above failure and every actor has to get their start from somewhere!
Furthermore, how the hell are you gonna call it a ‘mess’ of a movie when you haven’t even seen the damn film! You make that determination by looking at a freaking photoshopped poster and a brief description of the movie, and just like that it must be a mess! I’m sure it won’t be Oscar worthy or even critically acclaimed, but can’t you at least be willing to see the film before calling it a mess. Damn! I know this is a blog, and every one is entitled to their own opinion (no matter how dumb and completely un-fact based it is) but you truly sound like a bitter close minded person!
