Former Model turned Talk show host Tyra Banks has been promoting the season premiere of her talk show for months now. She has been tweeting and telling people that she would reveal her “real hair” in support of inner and outer beauty, etc. Here is what they wrote on the Tyra Show blog:
It’s all about celebrating inner and outer beauty and owning and rocking what you’ve got! Tyra is trading in her trademark weaves — and debuting her never-before-seen “real hair” on today’s show!

I do have some questions, why is it such a big deal that she debuted her real hair? Why did she feel the need to tweet that she “wasn’t bald-headed”? If she was bald-headed, why would it matter? Sooo many questions, not enough time..

I guess? I mean hair isn’t that important. It’ll grow back. I’m black and I’ve cut my hair and has grown back. Some people fall into the hype about hair…not I! If you want a weave, get one…if you want a press, press it….if you want a bob, cut it. It will grow back…tisk tisk tisk! I’m so over people crying over hair and skin color!!! i never faithfully watched tyra as i used to watch oprah when i was younger bc she does not appeal to me. her topics are juvenile and just stupid. her set is also ugly and not welcoming as she is. i rather watch wendy williams who normally i can not stand gossip or celeb dish but i love ask wendy questions and when she interviews her guests. she asks questions everyone wants to know and gets to know them and allows her guests personality whether good or bad to show. plus wendy tells it like it is and seems so genuine. she doesnt care what ppl think. she will not front and will admit she had plastic surgery and wears a lacefront. she doesnt care.
tyra on the other hand does. she never matured from the ghetto hoodrat with a stank attitude that played on will smith fresh prince. she is a mess. which proves its a conspiracy or she is sleeping with someone to get an emmy. i mean come on. i prefer wendy or ellen any day than tyra. its def fixed. plus i saw photos of her on mediatakeout and her hair was mad thin it looked like strings down her back. she probably added pieces after the cut to make it look thicker or a thickening agent of some kind.

OMG Tyra is one of the most ANNOYING people alive!!!! I don’t doubt that she has good, honest, heartfelt intentions but she clearly lives in a bubble. Tyra was a spoiled sheltered SUPER MODEL. Sure she’s faced obsticles and difficulties but who is she trying to fool? Her struggles and heartache’s are very trivial in comparison to what most real people have to face on a daily basis. And watching her trying to identify is just so painful. Bless her heart. She tries so hard, but at the end of the day Tyra really is not that well grounded and in touch with the everyday human experience. That hat belongs to Oprah and it has been the secret to her continued success.
This was so unnecessary! We live in the times where it is not uncommon for people to wear weaves, wigs, extensions…no matter the race. It’s not a taboo topic where as it may have been years ago.
She kept saying how “everyone is talking about it”…she is the only person making an issue about it which resulted in people talking. She wanted us to know she “has hair” and tried to pass it off as a good deed for society…whatever!
Tyra don’t have anything to talk about! Who cares if she has hair or not, she’s been wearing lace-front wigs since shep was a pup, so who give a damn! What she should have covered was that fore-head, and get something to talk about on that show, her show is so boring. Come of CW put Jamie Foxx back on, this was a poor change from Jamie Foxx show to Tyra Banks, no way this sucks and so does Tyra’s show!

Oh God, I never could see why people always hate on wigs. I would wear a wig in a heartbeat (If I thought I looked right) It has rained so much here my hair ends up so poofy I can’t keep it straight (and no I don’t have a relaxer, i would if I could) but that’s a long story. So anyway, wigs are great I like the wigs Tyra wears most of the time. her hair is long because she probaly has it braided under the wigs so it doesn’t get damaged. But hey, lots of people are big haters….they thought her hair would be short and it wasn’t but is all goes to say damned if you do and damned if you don’t.
