She was once a coke head, getting spit on by her husband. Today she is singing on Oprah, looking beautiful, and sounding great.
Testimony = Only God can bring you through = God is using her.
Whitney did not take ownership to her drug use. She was doing drugs long before Bobby just like somebody else said. I still feel like Whitney held back in the interview and she didnt honestly tell the WHOLE truth. However I hope she completely gets her life (sobriety) back together. I love Whitney but I know she is still troubled.
PS. Whitney looked absolutely beautiful though.

# 16 i agree… On the second part of the interview when she was infront of an audience her body language was alittle bit different and her facial expressions had me wondering if she was still using. I was watching wendy williams today who is also a former drug addict.. and she said she was upset that whitney didnt own up to her drug use. Whitney sort of fluffed off the drug use questions and said she liked to use rock cocaine in my hood thats called CRACK!. anyway i also noticed that she said bobby never physically abused her but then she admitted to him slapping her and pushing her up against the wall.. isn’t that abuse??

For what it’s worth, Whitney was phenominal on Oprah. For those who sit and judge someone’s past is obviously a victim of their own skeletons that they’ve yet to over come. Granted Whitney owes us anything. True, Whitney is human and the fact is that we all have our hang ups and ups and downs but what matters is we strive to use those things that once held us down as stepping stools to reach the our highest potential. God is a forgiving God and he can restore that which the enemy tried to steal. When i look and see Whitney i see a testimony and not her faults. I’m proud of you Whitney and I’m standing in the agreement with others that believe that God is continuing to use you as a Vessel to help those that are going through things that you’ve overcome. To God be the glory!!
There is nothing “sad” about Whitney Houston. You should be “happy” that she has connected with God and is now using her life as a testimony for how He can help you pull through trials & tribulations.
She mentioned God and His power like 1000 times throughout the interview and I believe she MEANT every word she spoke. It was real.
I am both a Whitney and Bobby fan and I did not finish watching that interview because she is full of shit! Like a few others have said, she was druggin way before BB and if he was so toxic to her, how is it that they BOTH look better???? Did anyone notice how she was considering his feelings while answering the questions? “He is not going to like this” etc…either she is back so she can get more loot for them to smoke, or they still on the DL together. If he was so brutal, why the consideration for his feelings as you answer the questions? And I my impression of his comment about taking it up with her if she misspoke about him, is that he is not going to refute her in the public eye, that to me he was showing a level of respect.

Nippy was using drugs before Bobby. Whitney’s kin (cannot say the name was using too) with her. Whitney was on the wild side already before she got with Bobby. She can curse like a sailor. She had this Angelic voice, but a hood mouth mentality. She use to model for seventeen magazine back in the day. She was always photogenic…
IDK if she is still using, however by her physical actions on camera does not sense that she has been sober long. Whitney’s face went flushed as she described “rock cocaine” aka “crack” to Operah. She was getting nervous as she described how she rolled it. Her ringing of her hands. Feet wiggling. She changed positions. Body language tells alot. So sad addictionis a disease. That is some of the physical aspects of on the road of sobriety. IDK if has been clean long. She should not be so nervous. Whitney is still in denial about drug use she blames Bobby.
Remeber God is not finished with her yet. Workis still in progress. Let us all pray for this beautiful women and for all the other people that are dealing with addiction. I have seen and heard heartbreaking stories.
We do not want to loose her as we lost the King of Pop. Keep Nippy close to your heart. It takes alot of courage for her to tell her business about drug use. She is still in the first two steps or recovery…
I like how in BB interview when he was asked how often did “they” used he came back and said “I” used a lot. I see him taking responsibility for his actions, I did not see that in Whitney’s interview.

A part of moving on is acknowledging what happened. She was in denial for a long time. I’m glad she was so candid. Drug addiction is serious and she may have just helped to save someone’s life by telling her story. She looks good and healthy. I pray she stays clean and strengthens her voice even more.

I do not remotely understand what people mean by she did not admit to what she did and blamed everyone else for it. She said time and time in the interview that she did drugs. As for those who note that it started before Bobby she also mentioned that too and noted that it only got worse but mind you she didnt say because of Bobby, she said because at this point she started to use the drugs to mask the pain she was feeling. She did not say Bobby told her to start using more. Next the drugs are just a symptom of a much bigger problem that she lost herself in this marriage and she needed to leave to get better. I do not understand how that is not owning up. Its like people just want her to say I did drugs and that is that. She wanted to explain what made her do the drugs and more importantly this interview was about her explaining how she got through. May God help us all, clearly we have not learned from Micheal’s death that celebrities are human and all this harsh judgment is problematic.
Whitney as long as you love you. God loves you. You have your mom your daughter in Dionne in Clive believe in you. Oprah really care for you and you do have true fans that love you for you. Dont sweat the small stuff stay strong you are amazing. Your true fans love you please pray in dont backslide. Even if you never sing again we love you. Your daughter loves you and need you. I am truly impressed with this interview. I am in shock at how candid it is. Whitney still loves Bobby but hopefully she has the strength to stay away from him and he drugs. I wish her the best, success and happiness. Im proud of her.
Whitney is strong and she gives me inspiration….doesn’t matter if she doesn’t share with the public every detail of her suffering or addiction…like she said she only spoke with Oprah this once and will not answer these same questions again! And she did this as we all know mainly for promotion of the album which is required by her record label but also as a RELEASE from all the negativity that the media and you all ignored(or just plain bored) people put upon her. Whitney is in God’s hands and with the help of her family I pray she continues to rise above the pain WITHOUT drugs and replaces that part of her life with more positive things!
