SPOTTED: CHRIS BROWN AT THE AIRPORT + HIS NEW STATEMENT ABOUT THE LARRY KING INTERVIEW
Tuesday, September 1, 2009

Singer/performer Chris Brown was spotted leaving the LAX Airport on Monday morning In Los Angeles. The star has the internet a buzz because of his upcoming appearance on Larry King. He released ANOTHER press statement in response to a video snippet the CNN released on Monday.
There have been reports on the internet that I didn’t remember what happened that night with Rihanna. I want to try and set things straight.
That 30 seconds of the interview they used of me was taken from a one hour interview during which that same question was asked something like 4 or 5 times — and when you look at the entire interview you will see it is not representative of what I said.
The first four times – or how ever many times it was - I gave the same answer — which was that I didn’t think it was appropriate for me to talk about what happened that night. I said it was not right for me and it really wasn’t fair to Rihanna. The fifth time – or whatever it was – I just misspoke. I was asked, “Do you remember doing it?” and I said, “No.”
Of course I remember what happened. Several times during the interview, my mother said that I came to her right afterwards and told her everything. But it was and still is a blur. And yes, I still can’t believe it happened because it is not me or who I am or is what happened like anything I have ever done before.
As I have said several times previously, I am ashamed of and sorry for what happened that night and I wish I could relive that moment and change things, but I can’t. I take full responsibility for my actions. What I have to do now is to prove to the world that this was an isolated incident and that is not who I am and I intend to do so by my behavior now and in the future.

Chris, just focus on your career man and do what you hafta do as far as your probation. To me it seems like people around him don’t even know how to help this kat get his stuff together as far as pr. He said he was sorry, he got sentenced, and he’s not gonna divulge everything on Larry King so lets just move on already damn lol.

Poor Chris, im sure he’s tired of apologizing and having to defend himself…people are gonna be disecting his words forever. Jane Velez Mitchell and her panel board are gonna have a field day with this. Good luck Chris, please dont go to jail though..i understand you still love Rihanna but it’s not worth going to jail tryna creep and what not.

Man i’m truly saddend by this for Young Chris. It’s gonna be hard trying to come back after this one sweety. But you still got a fan in me..trust. i love young Chris. I think he’s a wonderful artist, full of talent and was like a breath of fresh air when he stepped on the scene with “Yo”..(Excuse me miss). I pray that this thing dies down..it would help if even Rhianna came forth and said some things on his behalf. I refuse to believe that he is some up and coming woman beater..it was an unfortunate situation thats all. And it shouldnt make Rhianna feel good, seeing him being ridiculed like this. Again i hope she speaks up. Jay and her camp are all probably in her ear telling her otherwise i bet. I’m sure that interview is gonna be revamped, twisted and constured to Larry King’s perfection. He knows it..thats why he twitted what he did. Keep your head up and your knees on the floor in prayer young one…dont give up on yourself..i havent.

I wish they just leave CB ALONE. Anything he says or do they try to flip it into something that it’s not. Stay prayed up Chris this to shall pass. BTW how come when all the other entertainers had beef with their women no one said a word. Is Rhianna really that big or does she have alot onf industry back up??? What he did was wrong but they acting like he slit her throat and left her for dead. I still think they BOTH played a role in all of this and the story still remains one sided.

Lets be realistic here now she provoked him and he reacted. Im not saying it was right and I would never want any man to put his hands on me but she should of got convicted as well. Thats why I don’t have respect for Rihanna no more because she didn’t stand up and was women enough to say anything. It’s too bad for Chris, he has to feel bad since he said he watched his mom get abused when he was young. I hope this young man can get his life together. He has to understand people are going to criticize everything he says and learn to chose his words carefully. I’m not going to lie, he lost me as a fan after this situation and I won’t be purchasing any of his future music. I’m pretty sure he still has some die hard fans. He needs to hold on to them with a tight grip because he will need them if he wants to continue his career in music. Good luck to you young man.

I love these comments…”POOR Chris” Poor Chris nothing!
Chris Brown has plead Guilty to a felonious attack on a female he claimed to loved. He punched, bit, choked and tried to push out of a moving car a young lady people. And there was no reason for it. NONE.
If Chris was innocent he would have gone to trial and we could have heard both sides of the story. He did not want that to happen so he plead GUILTY.
Yesterday in the clip he claimed to not have remembered what happened and now his statement TODAY is that he misspoke?? Now we learn that he does not want to talk about that night and for GOOD REASON people!
Chris went to Larry King with his mommie and his “Lawyer” because we can all see he is not very bright and he wants to simply go back to being cavalier Chris and have the public “love” him and accept him because he has a new CD coming out (look on CL for the new single people).
Chris here is a news flash It’s NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.
When you do the crime you pay for it. The price for this VIOLENCE is that people may forgive you but they won’t forget and you have to put in work to gain that trust it’s not instant.
Part of gaining trust is being a MAN and saying that you know what you did was wrong. Not this I don’t remember crap and it’s the MEDIA.
You take 100% Responsibility for YOUR actions and then you get the help that you need.
That is what works Chris. Not rocking a Sky Blue Sweater and a bow Tie looking like some Preppy School Boy when you are anything BUT Educated.
Stop with the duplicity and make an actual CHANGE.

Rihanna .. get convicted - for what taking the keys? .. supposedly “provoking” him?
Honestly if you don’t know the whole story don’t make dumb comments. No one knows for sure what Rihanna did (if she did anything) - people are just ’speculating’ so to say she should have gotten charged for something you don’t even know she did is stupid.

rihanna needs to find herself a MAN and stop running around with this mentally challenged monster called chris brown. he is MENTALLY UNDERAGE for a 20 year old. he had amnesia and now he doesnt. i need to ask him about his quick remedy for getting rid of amnesia.

See, all of you who were bashing him on that earlier post about what he said jumped to conclusions! Paps and mags do this all the time.. misquote or take bits and pieces and make the statement sound bad. I’m sure he read the comments on here… that’s why he responded. Listen Chris, stop apologizing. The way you are handling it is too much! The leaked songs and taking the blame… you apologized and that’s all you can do. People were starting to get over it a few weeks ago… now you bring this up? What people need to realize is that everyone makes mistakes and no one should judge someone when they have skeletons in their closets and have comitted sins (getting drunk, doing drunks/includes weeds, premarital sex, out of wed lock children) all of these are sins and GOD says no one can say which one is worse/JUDGE! People are so stupid. How about you worry about yourself instead of young Chris. Chris be over with it and learn how to deal with things. You should have put a restraining order against her to show you were trying to get away from the situation!

Chris is smart to be “worried” we are not talking about Michael Jackson or Marvin Gaye here people. Chris Brown is just one step above Trey Songz (and that says it all folks).
He will pay the price for his actions because half if not more of his fan base will leave him. And we are not talking about a many that sells that much to begin with. He’s at the stage of transition and this is not helping him.
Chris has the wrong PR and the wrong attitude. His mother is a messy woman and you can see she did not do such a great job raising a MAN.
Chris is going to do more damage unless he gets some serious Therapy and FAST.
It’s not about selling a CD but fixing this issue he has with VIOLENCE.
That is what is most important and people who want him to rush out a CD and forget this problem he has are not his real FANS. They are also not bright people because it’s clear Chris has a number of issues. He should go to school and take a step back. The boy is not very bright and can barely express himself. Sad is what he is.

He plead guilty to get the shyt over with! Not b/c he didnt want Rhianna to stand up and say what happend.. (Im sure) Did you ever ask yourselves what “she” could have done in this situation? Like forreal come off all the b.s How many times have we hit out men..like hit they azz hard enuff for them to forget their name for a minute! Only b/c we knew or “thought” that he wouldnt hit us back?..I’m sure plenty of us have. And with them being 20 and 21, im not suprised at all. Im sure she probably smacked fiya out his azz in that car. Just the fact that he came forth and apologized sincerely and expressed genuine emotion about is says a lot! And you all must know that as children we more than less times become a product of our environment in some way or another. Hopefully he will not take these actions into his adult life, but seeing your mother abused by your father, does something terrible to a youngster…i can attest to this. I’m dealing with anger in my life now as a 26 yr old. I’ve gotten a better handle on it now, but “Life Happens” people and like another post read, we all should try to practice forgiveness.

@NEIKEA
You want to play FACTS? Let’s play.
If Chris Brown is innocent of this violence then why did he not got to trial and fight a “Bogus” report??????
I know you can’t answer that so I will tell you WHY.
Because during a trial people would hear the actual details from Chris’s own MOUTH and his career would be DONE. DOA. A lawyer is not Larry King they will ask him details and he has to answer under OATH. That was the LAST thing CHRIS wanted so he took the PLEA.
He plead guilty because he knew he would get community service and then he could dispute things and NOT TALK about the details and have his Lawyer there along with his mommie to try and paint some other picture and save his career. That is why Chris is doing ALL this MEDIA. Chris is talking to Magazines, and Larry King in an effort to change his image because he wants to MOVE CD’s and get the endorsement deals that he LOST back.
So let’s wake up and stop being willfully ignorant.
Chris is a FELON and he has issues with Violence and he needs to stop trying to sell himself if he can’t handle it. Chris always wants to be the Victim but we know he is anything BUT. Chris is calculated and a FRAUD. Why do you think he had on a Bow Tie what was the objective? To have you see him in a light that is in stark contrast to the Violence he unleashed a WOMAN over nothing!!!

Ok Chris you can only apologize only so many times. Larry King should be it. Now its time for your mom to wipe those tears in man up. The people around you that truly love in care about you need to support you in to help you begin truly healing so that you can try in pick up the pieces of your life. Everyone is watching and judging you so you have to be strong in make sure that you do what the judge said while you are on probation in beyond. That does not mean you have to be on every show saying how wrong you were you have apologized over in over. God forgives you now. By the way it is truly wrong to hit another person man or woman, but have rihianna apologize for any of her part in this. Live your life Chris we all make mistake learn live in give God the victory over you in move on.

young money let’S play lol first do you know what pleading guilty can mean…in chris case he plead guilty to a plead deal meaning chris felt that what they are giving him was fair plead deal note i only said chris not his lawyer..Mark wanted this to go to trial you know why because so as chris left the scene he wavied his right to give a police report but do you know what happen that night chris seen his mother and his lawyer HIS LAWYER TOOK PICTURES OF CHRIS!! i really hope you know what that is for but if you dont it is call evidence.. then he goes to the police station to get book on criminal threats..if the case was soo strong they would have book him on assualt and making criminal threats not just one this is way the DA sent the case back the first time..THE CASE WASNT STRONG ENOUGH!! ALSO THAT BS REPORT EVERYONE IS READING WAS THROWN OUT OF COURT TOO BY THE JUDGE WHO CONVICTED HIM mark knows full and well what went on the night and was going to do his damnest defending chris..but if your client doesnt want it to go to trail can you make them NO!!.. CHRIS TOOK THIS PLEAD DEAL BECAUSE HIM AND RIHANNA ARE HIDING SOMETHING!! IF YOU ACTUALLY BELIEVE RIHANNA WAS GOING TO TAKE THE STAND AND TESTIFY YOU BETTER THINK DIFFERENT HE IS PROTECT BOTH OF THEM FROM SOMETHING..AND DO YOU HONESTLY THINK CHRIS WOULD HAVE BEEN GIVING A FAIR TRIAL PEOPLE ALREADY MADE UP THEIR MINDS ABOUT HIM

Let’s just end this bullshit It’s pointless because like I said Chris Brown stans will live the rest of their life in an alternate reality. It’s so annoying when they act like this is not Chris’ fault. I don’t have a problem with you supporting Chris but please use your brain and stop making excuses for him and blaming Rihanna for a situation he brought upon himself. Someone up there talking about she should have been convicted too, your a dumb ass. point blank. Yes Chris is paying his dues, or whatever but please DONT GET MAD at the media for quoting the exact words that came out of HIS MOUTH. If you want people to stop talking about it and “get over it” then blame Chris. No one put a gun to his head and forced him to bring this shit up over and over again in public. It’s him, not the media or Rihanna. Dam people use your brain. So annoying…

The only thing that you typed that was true is that Chris Brown left the scene. Not something innocent people do. He is truly a COWARD.
But I’m also sorry to tell you the police report was not bogus It was accurate enough to lead to a CONVICTION of Chris Brown. Because he had no previous criminal record he got probation (which Mark was looking for). Mark pushed for the deal because Rihanna was going to testify under oath (she did not have any choice in the matter) that is why Mark pushed for the plea at the 12th hour. You don’t know how the legal system works and your views on Chris are a tad delusional but this is America you have that right.
Chris would not plead to something he did not do just to get it over with as you say…No he did not want that evidence to come out nor did he want to get cross examined. And Rihanna was not arrested on any “evidence” Chris produced because if she was it would have been under what is called “mutual” combat which can happen in domestic disputes. See you learned something new. So please stop with this nonsense that the report was false. Mark will try and make that claim tonight as well because on a talk show you can say those things but the fact of the matter is Chris plead guilty to avoid having to say what he did under Oath not to protect Rihanna. We know what happened from Rihanna’s account which matched her bruises. Which lead to Brown’s arrest and charges.

Huh? Maybe you should get what Rhianna got, then you’d think differently. It may knock some sense into you. You don’t get away with beating up a woman and leaving her for dead because she “provoked you”. People provoke me everyday. That doesn’t give me the right to put my hands on them. Let’s hope you don’t provoke your man one day. I just don’t understand how so many black women want to make the victim responsible. Are you all that hard up for c*ck? Chris needs to stop commenting. Where are his people that are advising him? At the end of the day the media outlets will spin this they way they want to. Why did he go to Larry King of all places first? How about a Black interviewer - Tavis, Steve Harvey, Tyra or Oprah even? Sigh…he should just let his talent speak for him and squash this situation.

I would like to see him go to college and spend a few years out of the spotlight. He could barely get a sentence out of his mouth that is grammatically correct. It is painful to listen to him.
It is easy to lose control (especially with a limited vocabulary), I understand that. However, I’m glad that he plead guilty and he should serve his community service humbly and quietly. Rihanna hasnt’ said a word (Thank God); he needs to take a page out of her book. When I see her I don’t even think of the “incident” but he always reminds me because he’s always talking about it.
Chris, we know that you are sorry. We’ve heard you say it. Now be quiet!

MS_LEO, I’m guessing no black interviewer would touch Chris with a ten foot pole right about now!

Nieka I was trying to be nice to your ignorant ass. First of all I said I wasn’t addressing you, and I didn’t. Second of all, why are you bitching? You don’t even have your grammar straight so I’m not convinced your facts are straight either. It sounds like instead of “dismissing me” you should be employing me so I can teach your dumb ass how to spell. The fuck are you? Sit your chipmunk ass down.

I don’t think the interview is warranted at this time. It’s not really important that he say his piece now that a decision has been rendered. I think maybe he should’ve waited until he put out a new album to make his rounds, or possibly just not even talk about it period.

It was a mistake to do this interview as well as that apology video he released.
Look, the fact is that some people are going to like CB and others won’t after this incident. It is called life. Going on Larry King is not going to change anything. If anything, it just provides soundbites and quotes that will be used to attack both him and Rihanna. His team have handled this very badly and should look at how the RiRi camp have handled it.. with silence. When you do interviews, you leave yourself at the mercy of the TV/radio/magazine/newspaper who can edit and distort your words. So why provide any fodder for that?
And this statement is worse because he keeps this in the media and quite frankly, it is clear that CB is not acting in a way that shows he wants to move on because he is keeping this mess in the media.

I anit here to spit facts and talk all this dumb shit like I know what happen in that car on feb 8. & Some of yall need to shut the fluck up and stop messing with this boy. Obviously he is sorry, and rihanna moved on with her twisted life. Why can’t yall let him without making fun of him and calling him “Ike”. Ike is a dog. Chris brown is misunderstood. If Chris goes down then Rihanna should go down with him. It’s no reason this incident should be the death of his career.
But I wish he would stop making sad love songs about the relationship and move on.
I wish him well

@ 61. Exactly. Totally agree.
For example, look at Beyonce. This woman has been involved in scandals from the firing of group members, being sued for stealing songs, etc. And not a word can be heard from her.. and eventually, it dies away. The reason why it seems that Jennifer Aniston is all bitter and caught up with Brangelina is because she kept giving interviews about it and at times, her words were distorted (e.g. the infamous “Angie is not cool” quote). Just shut up, repair your life in silence and move on.

& yea I agree with #61 also.
I think he should have let this die down, come out with hot tracks then talk about if (if he wants) but right now when everything is starting to die down, nope not a good idea. & it’s not a good idea for his mom to be crying and for him to answering questions with such bullshitty answers. Never say “I don’t know” when you left the crime and was there. Chris come on.
I can’t believe how spiteful and mean oprah is to not let chris brown come on her show to talk about this; obviously she been in there business talking about it so why don’t she just let him? Cause she stupid. Wow that money done got to her weaved up head. She had him on her show before, why not now? He didn’t change, he is misunderstood. & he has bad timing.

She forgave him and moved on…why is everyone else stuck on this…either buy the man’s music or don’t buy it. I was upset at first…but come on, seriously, maybe you all (people other than the victim) should practice a little too.

I’m so past caring about this now. This is about as bad as Mike Vick and the dogs. He needs to just keep doing what he do and stop apologizing and making excuses. It happened, HOPEFULLY he learned from his mistake, and he’s got to his punishment. Enough already! After apologizing 5 times every day, it starts to feel a little phony anyway

You said yourself that Chris is sorry(meaning he abused her). Why should Rhianna go down with him? It isn’t her fault that some choose not to forgive. I don’t get this logic.
