Ross was invited to speak at long-time friend Michael Jackson’s memorial held in Los Angeles on Tuesday July 7th, but Ross declined via a letter that Smokey Robinson read at the ceremony. She also was a no show for his funeral last week, citing she wanted to grieve in private.

Something is strange about this relationship. Diana refused to go to her long lost friend MJ funeral. Either she has guilt feelings about something or just dont want to be bothered. Diana refused to go to her brothers Arthur “T-Boy” Ross funeral. She had someone read a letter at her brothers funeral. She was angry at his lifestyle as hse wrote in her letter to her brother. Now, she is the back up guardian to MJ kids and do not have the decency to attend his final resting place. Something is terribly wrong here!

I respect Diana for not going to MJ’s funeral. I agree with some comments in regards to not everybody takes those well such as myself. Everybody grieves in their own way so people need to just ease up cause we don’t know how this woman feels.

Not everyone goes to funerals. Some just can’t handle it.
I’ve never lost someone close to me but people that I have known died and I didn’t go to their funerals – my parents and other family members went but I would rather not go to a funeral. I don’t think I’d be able to take it – knowing that the person is no longer in this world and is dead in the coffin .. at the front of the church.
Especially Michael’s funeral, I didn’t even know him (of course) but I would never be able to go. If their friendship was really that strong then I don’t blame her for not going.

I find it strange that she didn’t show up, this man nearly idolized you, your were supposed to be friends, and he left his kids to you in his will. Funerals are hard for me to but when I think of how that person especially someone I knew well, would feel if I didn’t show up to say goodbye out of respect, I grab up my guts and go, no matter the disagreements, no matter anything.

Diana has suffered the loss of her husband just a few years back; he was the father of her two sons–and hed died tragically while skiing; she could be still devasted and have to deal with that and her sons grief too. So maybe being in that setting was just too much for her. There is more than one way to grieve. She could have said a prayer with her pastor. You don’t know what she is doing or how she is feeling.
