VIDEO: JAY-Z ON OPRAH

September 24th, 2009

After months of speculation and pictures, they finally aired the Jay-Z and Oprah Winfrey interview. The show was reportedly taped earlier this month, but also includes footage of their sit down interview that is featured in the latest issue of O Magazine.

Oprah and Jay speak on his rise to fame, Beyonce, the “N” word and they give an exclusive look inside Jay’s Rocawear offices. And make sure you see the part with Jay tries to teach Oprah to rap. LOL. Peep the rest of the interview below.

“He reminds Oprah she is just a woman at the end of the day, a Black woman with no King”

is this a joke? oprah has more intelligence than jay could ever hope to have. i like him, don’t get me wrong but he is NOWHERE near Oprah’s level and, though he has made a name for himself, he doesn’t have half of the power that she does. what is up with these sexist comments today?

Oh, would some of you people get over the fact that Oprah isn’t kissing rappers’ behinds. She’s entitled to believe what she wants. Obviously Jay is one she connected with so get off her butt about her seemingly disgust with some rappers.

    That is all.

LISTEN I LOVE THIS MAN…JAY-Z IS GIVES OFF A HONEST EMOTION THAT I THINK SO MANY PEOPLE FROM SO MANY WALKS OF LIFE CAN RELATE TO. I THINK THAT IS ONE OF THE REASON HE IS SO SUCCESSFUL…VERY VERY SMART. ALSO I THANK OPRAH FOR ALLOWING PEOPLE TO SEE THE OTHER SIDE OF RAP. HATE HER OR LOVE HER OPRAH IS A BOSS AND SHE CAN DO AS SHE PLEASES BUT I THANK HER FOR ALLOWING ONE OF THE GREAT LEADERS OF THE HIP HOP WORLD TO COME ON HER SHOW AND COME INTO OUR WORLD A LITTLE BIT. LIKE BEFORE JUDGING IT TRY TO SEE WHY SO MANY PEOPLE LOVE IT…AND I LOVE BEYONCE SHE IS SUCH A SWEET SOUL, A GREAT PERFORMER AND SHE IS ALWAYS RESPECTFUL AND HUMBLE…AND SOME OF THE COMMENTS ABOUT HER ARE IGNORANT AND NOT EVEN WORTH A RESPONSE.

    @ 118, 120 and 122

    thank you for your replies

actually though, you proved my point

it would be so inappropriate for OPRAH to like Jay

    that was the point

We’re talking about attraction, not intellect. I saw that Oprah was attracted to Jay, even if it was just to be profoundly impressed by him, yes, against all reason.

I am a professional black woman certainly without Oprah’s money, fame and power, but who’s not that much younger than Oprah. Oprah is my girl. But she’s evidently human.

That’s what I was trying to say. Think about it

After seeing this interview, Jay-Z may be the biggest h*mosexual in hip hop, lol. He utilized the effeminization, soft-spoken technique that black men use when they’re surrounded by so-called “educated” black women and white people i.e. speaking in a soft-spoken tone, laughing at things that aren’t funny, deferring the conversation, playing the clown. Black men do this in corporate settings to give off an air of non-threatening so that they can continue making money. If Oprah were really that concerned about black men being lynched, which she isn’t, she would hire heterosexual black men and she would have one. Oprah is for the white man, l*sbianism, and h*mosexual black men (which is why Jay-Z was on her show). I notice that Jay-Z’s nephew was aggravated when Jay-Z went to hug him in the Rocawear offices because he knew that Jay-Z was being phony and playing to the camera.

Jay-Z is real cool, his presence was memorable. I was happy he wore
a proper dress code. He represented for the younger generation. We
all know they thought he was coming to the Oprah show in Baggy jeans
and Timbs but he didn’t. I’m glad they saw a Black business man at it’s finest.
He deserve to be there, he about his money and girl that’s how it should be.

Jay-Z deserves to be on the Oprah show. I was Happy to hear
that Jay-Z would represent for the Hip-Hop community. He did
make us proud. Looks are not everything, Beyonce, Alicia Keys,
Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson, they set the example for accepting
a Black man and loving him just as he is. Why would they want
to be with a man who is pretty, and looks like a female. Go Jay-Z

I could expect this kind of sh*t on a black blog. Yes, Jay-Z does seem like a cool guy, but his music is still very negative just like every single rapper’s music. I hate the N word and I hate rappers! How does she feel about Beyonce calling herself a b**** in EGO? People really are fooled just because of the image of the interview. Everyone was laid back and having a good time and y’all wanna act like he’s such a great person! Black people are stereotyped because of rappers/ablack actors and it’s a shame. SHAME ON OPRAH FOR ALLOWING THIS FOOL to be on his show. Obviously he’s not that educated if he can’t learn how hateful and hurtful the N word is. Even the sound of it is disgusting! What y’all need to get through y’all thick skulls is that just because you are RICH AND FAMOUS, doesn’t mean you got there positively or did something right! People like 50 cent and Lil Wayne all degrade women, 50 cent sexually harassed Olivia, pushed a girl in a pool on America’s Next Top Model, has dissed every rapper alive, caused so much drama, Wayne isn’t a parent to his children, just a finanacer, and look how famous, rich and RESPECTED THESE MEN ARE AND THEY ALL DO WRONG!

I understood what you meant. Oprah wouldn’t be attracted to GAY-X on either level.
