The female fans who have been defending Chris Brown from the beginning of this situation make me want to vomit. It’s just really crazy how some females who would never actually have a chance with him are so quick to blame Rihanna saying she started it, when it doesn’t matter who started it Chris finished it. I didn’t feel good or bad about the interview, as I always felt, there was no need for him to do it in the first place. An interview is the LAST thing you want to do [when you were wrong] in a situation like this, and I have no idea who put him up to it or who thought it would be a good idea. At this point what is there left to speak about? He’d be a fool to sit and tell what happened blow by blow, and I don’t think he would even if he didn’t want to out of respect for her. I felt sorry for him because he seemed nervous; it came off forced and a bit rehearsed. He has nothing to explain or to prove at this point. Everything was put out there–from police leaks of the photo to her accounts to the police of what went on–and he was punished for it. People want him to give an account of what happened, for what? To hear him say it himself? We all know what happened.

I don’t know what level people want him to attain to show how ‘remorseful’ or ’sorry’ he is, but I think he’s gone through enough as it is having to live with something like this in the public eye and with such scrutiny. We’re all people, and I’m sure anyone on here has f*cked up once in their life to the point where it was a mistake that everyone immediate to you was aware them. It’s an embarrassing and horrible feeling. Now take that a million fold when you’re a celebrity. That definitely takes strength because I know I wouldn’t be able to handle it.

But with respect to Rihanna, I’m really just concerned about her violations as a domestic abuse victim, and why, or better yet when her people are going to step up to the plate and start filing suits against the LAPD and TMZ because leaking that photo was totally in the wrong. Her rights as a young woman were violated twice in this situation and the ’she just wants it to go away’ response they keep giving is quite sad to me…

Chris really made himself look like a fool last night Im sorry. First off, the poor guy couldn’t even get his words right halt the time or he either dodged questions by saying he respects Rihanna’s privacy. I don’t think he did himself any justice last night by doing this interview since he couldn’t man up and even admit to the two other incidents him and Rihanna got into it.

i agreed with him…if the night was so traumatic and everything for her - the “victim” - it would have been rude and distasteful for him to give a blow by blow and essentially make her relive the situation…he used tact. TMZ and their informants should have used a little more tact in the situations when they released those photos and the police report…they attempted to make chris look bad and i don’t think they thought about what it would have done to her…And their personal conversation over the situation shouldn’t have been discussed in detail either; somethings should remain between them and really as long as him and her have discussed it, he’s apologized to her, she has accepted his apology, he has forgiven himself, and determined what he needs to do to learn and grow from this point on is all that matters. Women know how women work! You know in the heat of the moment or an argument women can and sometimes will do and say whatever they know will push buttons. In some relationships, that’s how it goes down. In my younger days in the relationship I was in, I did it constantly - everytime an arguement came up.
Picture it - you are 19 & 20 yo, you’re in the car, you come up on a text from another chick in your man phone, you go to poppin hella noise, an argument ensues, things are done and said to push buttons…she could have looked him square in the eyes and call him and his mama a B just cause she knew it would make him angry. That’s what happens when you are young, immature, and you don’t know how to fight clean.

Let’s be CLEAR Chris is not trying to save Rihanna.

Chris took the guilty deal because if he had to go to trial a Lawyer or Prosecutor would ask both of them the details of that night on record. Chris would be questioned and unlike Larry King they would have his words on record and his career would be OVER. Epic FAIL. But Chris’ lawyer knew that he had no prior so he would get community service and the case would be closed.

Look into domestic abuse. It’s a known fact that when children especially boys witness their mother being abused by men then often adopt the same responses when dealing with women. This is a known product of domestic abuse. This is why Larry King asked Chris Brown’s mother many times if she saw the link between her abuse and Chris’s attack on Rihanna. His mother said NO about three times to that question which proved she is in complete denial. When couples argue you usually don’t have this level of violence but guess what? This is becoming more common. Even verbal abuse can be more damaging because it takes much longer to heal from words at times. Chris has spoken about seeing this type of abuse in both Vibe Magazine and the Tyra Banks shows. He even said he wet the bed (in VIBE) because it caused him so much stress. So I suggest you read more about it. Chris has spoken about his mothers abuse in the past and it’s in line with his type of Violence he has shown to Rihanna. Therefore, he continued to shoot himself in the foot throughout the whole night. He has provided quote and soundbites that will be dissected and used to attack both him and Rihanna.

E.g. :”I am in love with her”, “thought the photo was fake”, “i don’t remember”, “i was not taught how to love”, etc. While I appreciate that this was his honest view, this will follow him for a while.

Those saying that everyone needs to move on need to go holler that same sentiment to Chris Brown. HE IS NOT ALLOWING himself, Rihanna and the public to move on with such useless public outbursts. The Bow Wow video, the apology segment and this CNN interview are like Angel said: left a lot to be desired.

A word of advice to CB: get yourself together, get therapy, let go of Rihanna (and she should let go of you.. any relationship that descends into repetitive violence is not a good one), serve you punishment, shut up (unless to sincerely speak out to young people out there about anger and love) and make your music. And the next time you get into a relationship where anger causes violence, get the heck out.

The thing that’s wrong with this whole situation is that we are making Chirs Brown out to be the poster child for domestic violence. There have been so many missed opportunities, and now that we have a 17 year old black male who made a mistake we want to condemn him. He is not the perpetuator of this heinous act. All this media coverage is what is fueling the cycle of violence that will come in its aftermath. Chris is a child who yes needs help, but what the media and queen Oprah is doing to him is down right cruel.

While Rihanna and Chris Brown are both major stars in their own right, we forget thaty are two children whom have been allowed to have an adult relationship. There is sex on top of sex, which from what we all have read and seen on the internet is very risqué at times. They vacations together. They practically live together without any adult supervision. There is a lot of physiological damage that has been done to/on both individuals by allowing them to carry on in such a manner. In relationship where tow people have committed to be the best partner they can be, there are still issues surrounding: how to resolve conflict, jealousy, sex, and love. If you allow children to do adult things, and then turn around and expect them to behave like adults, and when they don’t we cry fowl.

The media coverage that this has gotten is off the charts. This should have been one of those golden “teachable” moments for parents, when your children down (boys and girls) and say, if a boy ever hits you, run like hell and tell someone. And to the girls, I’m gone tell you what my mother said to me… Keep my hands to myself! I expanded on that by telling my own teenage daughters, that it is never ok to hit. Nor is it normal for someone to verbally abuse you, or you them. Your name is____ and that is what they should call you. Unless you say otherwise, as in “sweetie”, “baby”, “muffin”, etc. It its perfectly ok for you to expect to never be hit, and if you feel that any situation that you find yourself in is coming to that point… immediately tell someone.

In conclusion: Stop condemning Chris Brown. He only represents what is wrong with our society… we allow our children to experience too much, too soon, and not save anything for later. We must not forget that violence against women happens every single day on this planet without any notice from most of us. Instead, we received a skewed, one sided portrayal of what occured that fateful night - think, media leaks of Rihanna’s photo, insider rumours etc. In our eyes he was guilty before even being charged! Of course that leaves some obvious discrepencies like, what provoked him to flip out like that? Had this ever occured between the two of them before? What did she do to retaliate?

We sentenced Chris Brown by boycotting his music, deriding him on blogs and dismissiming him full stop. I could NEVER condone violence against a woman; however none of us will ever know what really transpired that night because none of us were present. In light of this, Chris Brown’s interview was imperative. Larry King (a luminary journalist) represented the media (prosecutor, judge, transcriber) and Chris sat cap in hand attempting to apologise to the public (jury).

In my humble opinion, this interview was a smart manoeuvre because Chris confronted his real threat -THE PUBLIC. And as he is fully aware, the power of the media and THE PUBLIC’S opinions of him can punish him where it really hurts - by ending his career. Believe me Chris Brown isn’t bothered about community service or suspended sentences but if his career was curtailed because we decided to boycott his music for good, he would lose his livelihood and everything he has lived for up this point.

A big one with consequences, but a mistake. Everyone seems to forget, that this young adult had not been in any trouble before. He still probably doesn’t understand what happened. What could he have said that would have been satisfactory to you? Anything he would have said would have been looked at like he’s making an excuse! They were in a serious relationship at 19 and 20 years old! You don’t know anything when you’re that young but how you feel at the moment. What new car you want or new outfit your’e going to be wearing that night. Exactly when does ANYTHING make sense in this world? Why would a 14 year old want a baby? Does that make sense? of course not! That’s why Chris has an opportunity to find out why he reacted that way. Do you not think this is tearing him up as well? It’s not like this kid is 40 years old still beating on women. He has a great opportunity to change the behavior he exhibited that night. He has said countless times that he is ashamed. They BOTH had a chance to change the course of that night. He told her to get out of the car and she refused! She made a choice to stay and fight it out with her man! He could have stopped the car and took a walk, but he chose to stay also. Did they think it would end up the way it did? No, but when you let your emotions do the thinking for you, the actions will fall where they may. Sometimes there is no answers, but there are plenty of regrets. AS you mature in life you learn that. YOU also learn how to forgive which is something the people on this board know nothing about. I forgive you all for your unforgiving hearts……

Oprah did nothing but jump on the gravy train by doing a show about Rihanna before he was even formally charged. She judged him just like everybody else. She’s the biggest hypocrite if I ever saw one! With her influence she could have addressed the issue from a standpoint for both of them. Her prior interaction with Chris should have prompted her to find out the why’s instead condemning him by saying that if he hits you once he’ll do it again. Oprah cares about Oprah. period.

He wasn’t prepared at all. The fact that everything about the incident to him was just “wow” says a lot. I think he hasn’t felt any remorse at all. He seems only saddened by the fact that his career is in danger. I mean a few days after the incident he was out jet skiing with Rihanna like he didn’t do anything wrong. Chris has some serious anger issues and the police report proved that. Maybe Rihanna did slap him but that doesn’t justify what he did to her. Did anyone see Chris with any injuries? No! …..he viciously attacked her. Yes he’s an entertainer but should we give support and just add more money to his pocket to a person who behaves like this. I’m sure not going to. If this was some random dude all his “real” fans wouldn’t be defending him. Chris sounded like an idiot. So according to Chris I’m a “hater” just because I feel disgusted by his actions.
